What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

B: egg bacon mushrooms
L: salad + avocado + mayo + scrummy soft garlic cheese from Lidl
D: more chicken garam masala plus DD naan bread - assuming I get the recipe correct - never measured dry ingredients in ml before!
Its weird isn't it. I got myself a set of the American cups (a cup is 8 fl oz) and I switch DD to US measurements now. I still don't see how you can measure butter in tablespoons without making a mess.....

I normally surf and post using a tablet, kindle or smartphone but right now I'm on my PC and I've just seen your stats (which don't show up on my other devices) - WELL DONE on getting your BP down to 120/78.

I found this, wrote down the usual suspects, and have it stuck inside a kitchen cupboard.

- because it was driving me mad. All the American measurements for butter are 'a stick' and 'a tablespoon', which mean absolutely nothing to me. lol.

Good evening everyone,

B. Strawberries with Greek yogurt and a handful of granola

L. Ham salad

D. Cauliflower cheese with tomatoes and bacon chop

Evening snacks will be grapes in the form of a bottle or two of red wine :)

Have a great evening

Long work day, so:

B: 2 coffee substitutes and cream sipped through the morning
L: very late, in a cafe with colleagues. chose the feta and bacon salad, and paid £1 for chicken to be added. Arrived in a smallish soup bowl lined with baby spinach leaves, 3 cherry toms, about a third of a sliced avocado, crumbled feta, crispy bacon and chicken. No mayo available. Left me distinctly unsatisfied.
D: will be a very rare takeaway. Mr B fancied a kebab type thing. Have gone for a chicken kebab and salad, no pitta, plus deviled mushrooms (in cream and tomato). Waiting for delivery now, so will let you know how it goes...

Edited to add: huge portions on the takeaway! Second uninspiring salad of the day. Chicken very nice. Left 1/3rd. Had a few chips. Binned the rest. But my goodness, those mushrooms were the star of the show. LOVELY. And generous enough that i could only manage half, leaving me the rest to have with the leftover chicken.

B: two closes cup mushrooms, kale, avocado, two rashers of thick bacon.
L: packed lunch starrring lettuce, spinach, 2 cooked chopped sausages (very low in carb from tesco), some grated cheese, some macadamia nuts and a drizzle of EVOO and Basil.
D: Pork chop fried in butter, spinach, mushroom, avocado, cauli rice, brocooli.
S: ? Not sure I should.

Staved off cravings between by drinking an insane amount of water.

After yesterday's lovely meal just wanted something simple. Still getting to 9.5 pre breakfast but it dropped quicker today to 6.7 so that's an improvement. Hopefully the bug is leaving the building. No rush tomorrow as No 1 grandson can't go to swimming as he has a really nasty ear infection. He was a lot better after 2 doses of antibiotic - poor wee man slept on his hand last night as he didn't want his ear to touch the pillow. Anyway
B. 2 scrambled eggs and 2 Herta chicken frankfurter (bit of a rush doing nursery run, getting No 1 to the doctor and DIL to her class, No 1 to school - he wanted to go and finally to Aqua)
L Nothing
D. Rump steak, lettuce , tomato, avocado and Helmanns

Cheese and diced up corned silverside omelette for breakfast, pot luck whatever for lunch, and for dinner tonight steak and veggies is on the menu.

Hello
B. Raspberries and yoghurt

No swimming today

L. Few cashews

D. Leftover brisket with veg. Raspberries and strawberries with yoghurt.

Not sure about pomegranate tonight. I didn't have any last night either. Oh dear.

Thursday
breakfast - porridge
lunch - 3 bacon rashers, two farm eggs and mushrooms
dinner/supper - homemade veg and tomato soup
snack - coffee and cream

Friday
breakfast - porridge (usual, made with water finished with almond milk and ground flax seed)
lunch - cabbage braised with red peppers, leek and garlic and finished with crispy bacon and a bit of butter
dinner - smoked sausage with veg curry on the side.

Breakfast - 2 sausages and 2 rashers of bacon

Lunch - crustless quiche, salad. Dessert - 10 raspberries with double cream. First time I've dared to try fruit since going low carb in January, and a success: blood sugar only rose by 0.5 mmols 2 hours later.

Dinner - bolognese with courgetti and a bit of cheese

Still plagued with a morning high. Bed on 6.7 and pre breakfast 9.8 . When I got back from the shop I was at 6.4 and still there pre dinner.
B. 2 scrambled eggs and 2 rashers crispy bacon. Chestnut mushrooms and 2 gluten free pork chipolatos.
L. Nothing

Big meal tomorrow so lots of cooking to do.
