Mr Chook was 'over the moon' about Arsenal winning - one of his daughters is also an Gooner but her husband and children are all Tottenham supporters and they always support whatever team Arsenal are playing against (just to be difficult) - so she and Mr Chook do a lot of celebration texting to each other yesterday - and my dogs got to wear their Arsenal outfits this morning on their walk.

Yesterday....

Breakfast: Lidl protein roll filled with mushrooms and bacon

Lunch: Nothing

Dinner: Roast beef, small amount of roast parsnips, broad beans, cauliflower cheese and carrots - loads of runner beans, purple sprouting broccoli, gravy (and NO Yorkshire Pudding :( )

Dessert: Alpro chocolate hazelnut icecream

Drinks - coffee until mid day then sparkling mineral water until dinner - then wine ;)

That must make for interesting Saturdays in that household. Not a Spurs fan I have to say.

A wee bittie higher today but that is not unusual after my larger Sunday dinner.
Bed 6.1 FBG 6.6 and pre breakfast was 7.7. What was interesting was after dinner it came down quite quickly but I noticed overnight it rose again to around 8 (I have a Libre sensor on) before dropping back to this morning's FBG. All I can deduce from this is liver must have been dealing with my Sunday alcohol first. Does this mean we should drink more alcohol ?
B 2 scrambled eggs and 2 rashers crispy bacon. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream.
L. Marigold Swiss bouillon
D. Remains of yesterday's Instant Pot lamb , cauliflower cheese, green veggie medley.
Got a Diet Doctor Chia Pudding to put together for tomorrow's breakfast. I thought there was more to it but it is a dawdle.

B. Blackberries and cream

L. Bacon in sandwich made with Schar gluten, wheat free Vitality bread (11g of carbs per slice)

1 hours swimming

D. Smoked haddock with Chinese leaf salad. Strawberries with scoop of Alpro chocolate and hazelnut icecream.

Evening. Fasting day today.

Breakfast - none

Lunch - none. Went for a walk instead.

Dinner - bit of an indulgent one. This week I'm eating more fish so Tesco Lemon, Thyme and Black Pepper Sea Bass fillet with sautéed broccoli, cabbage and leeks; 10 raspberries and cream; 2 squares Lindt 90%.

Drinks - 1 mug tea with cream, copious amounts of water - sparkling and tap

Not very hungry today so more a case of 3 snacks than 3 meals as such
B - one of my low carb blueberry muffins with 1 mug of coffee with goats milk
L - one of my low carb coffe and pecan muffins with 100g Greek yogurt
D - 30g goats cheese with 1 low carb Josephs mini pitta breads

So far 490 cals and 14g carbs - will defo need to eat something more later as sugars are currently low 5 - just dont fancy anything at the mo. Having said that mind younthere are anther 12 muffins in the tin and Oppo in the freezer - not enough carbs to put sugars at ok pre bed range though I suspect :-((

You've had grandchildren (plural) staying for 2 weeks? You have my admiration. Mine (2 boys) were staying Saturday and I was ready for a drink when I took them home on Sunday. To be fair they were not too bad and I do have them near enough every day so I enjoy my rest during holidays.
I once had son, DIL, 2 grandsons, large dog, 3 cats and what felt like half their house staying for 4.5 months while their build was finishing. Think I needed a pub after that!

B: a slice of GF toast with butter. 15g carbs!!! Delicious, but not what I want regularly.
L: leftover brisket, in the juices, with coleslaw. Again, delicious, and this time something I would happily eat all the time! lol
S: forgot I had some 70% with orange bits! Drat
D: am very excited. Doing ribs, and I am using this recipe, with Rhubarb :D
http://oneperfectbite.blogspot.co.uk/2011/06/country-ribs-with-rhubarb-barbecue.html
I have made the sauce already, and it is delicious, now I just have to baste the ribs and bake in the oven for a bit.

(of course, I had to tweak the recipe a bit. It is a lot less sweet, and really tangy and quite hot. Also, I seem to have made a bucketload, so there will we 3 portions going into the freezer. Result, eh?)
