What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Oh wow that is so great you must be really thrilled and in quite a short time I think? At least you’ll be able to prepare now for when you see your DN about how you move forward. A congratulatory hug and puppy lick now on the way!
Thank you @shelley262 I am very happy with the result.

It was what I was hoping for, to be in the "normal" BG range, didn't think it would happen as I had my holiday and that nasty cold/chest virus, which, saw my averages a little bit higher on quite a few days during the last 5 weeks prior to my blood test.

I know that’s why it’s so great to be in the normal range but still have lived your life had an illness which puts it up but more importantly done something enjoyable like go on holiday go girl you’re definitely doing it right you and @DJC3 Are almost bg twins.

As you say, all things considered the result is a great achievement, especially when I consider my starting point, like you I was in the 90's club.
First blood test 95 10.8 followed by repeat test 87 10.1
First DN appt 76 9.1
3mth check up 45 6.3
now 38 5.6 :D:D:D

You have been a great help, very encouraging and always happy to give great advice, it is very much appreciated, thank you. xx

@jayney27 that’s btilliant news, well done you! I’m so happy for you.
Especially brilliant considering the holiday and illness.
It gives you the motivation to continue doesn’t it? Seeing what a change we can actually make.
Thank you, yes it certainly does, I am very happy, thank you for your support too, it really is appreciated. x

Congratulations @jayney27 fantastic result you should be glowing with pride. A little trend among regular posters in this thread what with you @Goonergal, @DJC3, @shelley262 and @Rachox all having excellent results since I have been posting in this thread.
Today both myself and my wife seem to have a mild but annoying tummy bug so I have maintained my food fast all day as a precaution. Bg seems to find it agreeable but no big dips. Just to keep in the routine menu below:

B: 3 pints tea with almond milk
MMS: French Vanilla coffee with double cream
L: 2 pints tea with almond milk
MAS: French Vanilla coffee with double cream ; 2 pints water with lime
D: Bone broth with cider vinegar; 2 pints water with lime
Just trying to take plenty of fluid and laze about watching cricket. Hope you all had better days.

Hi all more of a pottering and normal care day today as youngest son - whose puppy it is - looked after him as he was off work.
Breakfast one boiled egg and slice low carb bread with coffee with few drops of single cream and inulin
Lunch advocado and tuna with seeds lemon juice and advocado oil
Dinner chicken breast and cauliflower cheese and one small glass red wine followed by sugar free jelly withOne and a half strawberries and small amount single cream.
Edited to add my daily glass of wine!

The proof of the (low carb) pudding I guess! Just shows that lchf works!

Hope you and your wife feel better soon. A day on fluids is probably a good thing. How long has your food fast been now? Must be 72hrs?

B: poached egg, halloumi, asparagus and avocado. Burnt the halloumi and overcooked egg so not as nice as it should have been. Coffee and cream

L: DD keto roll with the lovely M&S creamy cheese and a tin of mackerel fillets in olive oil. Coffee and cream.

D: salmon fillet, salad of leaves, radishes, 1 slice tomato, 1/2 boiled egg, avocado, halloumi ( not burnt tonight) and olive oil/ Acv dressing.
Pudding was sf jelly, a dollop of extra thick cream and a spoonful of raspberry chia jam on top - like a low carb trifle really.

I suppose it’s partly seeing my real name rather than my forum
@shelley262 a real Don't tell him Pike moment maybe? :angelic: @DJC3 It is 72 hrs so will probably end up 90 hrs. Your menu sounds delicious btw. One of my tasks on the development plan is a proper low carb trifle - some lemon drizzle could well be the sponge element, our raspberries, cream and jelly are fine anyhow so just the custard to perfect. That is my wife's target before her next appraisal!:angelic:
