Thanks both really helpful, on my way to do the main shop at Aldi but will call in Morrisons on the way back and pick some up, I'm very behind the times on the kitchen gadget front and I don't think my mini food processor would cut it!. May well order some lo dough too and give it a go, we have a lot of picnic/packed lunch days with a little one so would be good to be able to just have a wrap occasionally for ease.

Yesterdays menu
B: usual milled flax, chia seeds and oatbran with greek yoghurt
L: Sausage, bacon, scrambled egg, mushrooms, toms - out at a cafe so shared an all day breakfast with my toddler, she had the beans and toast!
D: Meatballs in homemade tomato sauce with cauli rice, couple of squares of green and blacks salted caramel dark choc.

Have seen lots of people talking about ice cream - this is new since I was last seriously low carbing! Are the halo top, Breyers and oppo all pretty similar? Have also been looking at lo dough but it's quite a hefty price tag, I'm guessing as a lot of you use it you'd say it's worth it?
Tesco's have Halo Top on offer at the moment. I find Breyers too creamy and I prefer Halo Top mainly because it has a big selection of flavours. I tend to keep it to one scoop.
I'm a fan of lo dough and I agree with @Brunneria it isn't a pastry replacement. I like it as a wrap but toasted in The george. I love it for toasties and Pizzas. Watch out for offers. If you sign up for lo dough newsletter you get offers from them and recipes.

Bed 5.2 FBG 5.3. Got out the door sharpish this morning as I've discovered early morning shopping is a lot more peaceful. Sis had a trip to hospital yesterday. Her potassium levels were low again so she needed another infusion and a restock with tablets Thankfully she got home again but the trip exhausted her again. Still she had a good night's sleep but she so needs to eat. Not easy when you have no appetite.
B. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream.
L. Leftovers from yesterday's sesame chicken with more of the M&S cauliflower couscous. 2 min blast in the microwave and it tasted even better than yesterday.
D. Will be the usual selection of deli meats with lettuce, tomato and coleslaw.
Going To make some ricotta pancakes as I want to try that monk fruit "maple" syrup.

Had to grab and go from a small co-op for breakfast and lunch today so ended up with a peperami and some cottage cheese for breakfast and a rainbow salad with cooked chicken and smoked cheese for lunch. Home now and have my first ever fat head pizza in the oven, used to generally steer clear of the very high fat recipies like this but home alone tonight and feel like something indulgent so hope it does the trick! Also picked up some cookies and cream breyers so there may be a scoop of that later too, as it's the weekend!

Evening all. Summer of '18 rolls on but I already notice it is darker earlier - chickens go in about 1/2 hr earlier than end of June. Mrs P made 2 lemon drizzle cakes today, an LC one for a family gathering tomorrow and a normal one for her and grandson. Meanwhile, I tried but not expecting great things tomorrow morning - rock and a hard place though. As WS Churchill said KBO!
Breakfast+Mid morning snack: 3 pints tea with almond milk; Decaf instant bulletproof coffee with butter and 2 tsps inulin - novelty will wear off quickly
Lunch + Afternoon snack: 40 mins exercise bike then eventually 2 pints tea with h/m almond milk; can Pepsi Max (pure filling tummy)
Evening meal: 8 Oz burger + 4 oz steak burger both with cheese; salad and celeriac remoulade; 2 pints tea h/m almond milk

Way too many for this little box, and probably irrelevant
I make my own broccoli salad. I’ll probably be told it’s all wrong, but any ingredients you don’t like/want can be exchanged - I made it up after all! I find this really delish with salmon steak, roast chicken -anything you fancy . .
I use:
Broccoli florets - chopped very small
Sweet corn - I use tinned
Chopped red onion
Chopped dates - I’ve used sultanas & other dried fruit, but find a couple of chopped dates is best
Carrot - grated or ribboned
Spoonful of mayonnaise
Top with toasted pine nuts - I just brown them in a small frying pan, no oil.

Brekkie - overnight oats made with almond milk, blueberries and pecans. Tea

Lunch - Teriyaki beef, edamame beans, spicy pepper squid (yo sushi - not ideal apart from the beef but better then something rice or noodle based)

Snack of olives this afternoon

Dinner - lo dough pizza. Put garlic butter on both sides before cooking, tomato puree, cheese and meatballs! A success. Haven't had pud yet but made chocolate chia pudding earlier so I'll have that with cream shortly

Hi all. Hungry day today.

Breakfast - none

Mid-morning snack - 30g almonds. Out at Kew Gardens and thankfully had picked these up at Sainsbury’s on the way: as later discovered Kew no longer sell pork crackling

Lunch - hunger increasing so picked up an egg and spinach protein pot and 25g bag of almonds at Tesco on the way to catch train

Dinner - beef short rib followed by a raspberry clafoutis recommended on one of the fasting glucose threads. Delicious. Editing to add the extra thick Jersey cream eaten with the clafoutis.

Also learned something today. Having searched high and low for flaxseed that wasn’t ground, the guy in Holland and Barrett informed me that lI seeds are the same thing.

It’s very good! Was a bit worried as only have a springform tin and online I read not to use those for clafoutis because of the risk of leaking, but no problems with that at all. And so easy to make.

Turns out fat head pizza isn't for me :yuck: base is far too stodgy/cake like, so just ate the topping (onion, mushroom, ham, cheese) with salad!

@marvkat all a matter of personal taste - I was starting to think it was just me that found that. Shame you didn't like it after the effort of making it but console yourself that you have made my day brighter.:angelic:

B. Slice of HiLo toast with butter and vegemite, black tea, black coffee.
Out for lunch at home of a very good cook.
L. Small glass of Prosecco. Starter which I made. Indian style salad of rocket, red onion, mango (I know!), paneer, roasted cashews, red chilli, coriander and a lemon and ginger dressing. New recipe and declared a winner by all.
Main was a butternut and mushroom dhal topped with a fried egg with a cucumber and yoghurt raita. Then very small serving of coffee and cardamon ice cream and few strawberries.
D. Edamame bean salad. Cheap yesterday at supermarket.
Has anyone made ice cream using xylitol or erythritol? If this weather continues.......
