What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

Bed 5.7 FBG 6. Did my shop online but still had to nip out this morning for a few odds and sods I couldn't get online. A bit gusty here today but still surprisingly warm. Still waiting for the arctic blast which was forecast.
B. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream then straight out.
L. The breakfast I intended having 2 pork chipolatos GF, fried egg, streaky crispy bacon and a bit of the wee black pudding.
D. Bolognese knocked up in no time in the IP with oomi noodles and parmesan.
Chia Pudding to finish off later with a few raspberries. Currently still enjoying the taste the Bolognese has left.
Settling down to an evening of Strictly and X Factor now. My brain needs things I don't have to think about!

Evening all. Very sunny day here so I hope all UK based members enjoyed the same and anyone holidaying abroad had excellent weather. Flu jabs today - queuing to get into surgery then standing for 30 mins before seat shuffling to get jabbed. Mrs P has made an LC trifle using lemon drizzle cake and the newly mastered vanilla custard. 3 years in the making. All East Anglian Ps gathering tomorrow:):):) @Tori71 pretty sure your baking is amazing but ginger??:arghh::arghh:

Wakey Wakey: Tea
Breakfast : 1 Wetherspoons latte + 1 white coffee
Lunch : Pepsi max and large mackerel and avocado salad
Mid Afternoon: Diet coke and walk
Eveningmeal: Tea: Smoked salmon mousse; cheese; stick celery; .5 apple; 3 flaxseed flatbreads; 1 slice brunswick ham; stewed rhubarb, extra thick Jersey cream

Hi all. Lovely and sunny here too, @ianpspurs warm enough for shorts and t-shirt on my long afternoon walk.

Looking like it might turn into an OMAD day. Walk was punctuated by lunch at a hitherto unknown branch of Five Guys - bunless cheeseburger with lettuce tomato onion and mayonnaise.

Not long been home but not feeling hungry and it’s getting a bit late for dinner so will see how it goes. Maybe just a large mug of tea with cream.

Warm enough for shorts here again today and great day for lawn mowing. I was like a pig in whatsit and your long walk sounds as though you were much the same. Large mug of tea sounds excellent.

Loved the walk. Have gradually been figuring out a route from home to Stratford which is mostly either alongside water or through parks. Just about perfected it now. Just sat down with my mug of tea - not quite pint sized but large enough.

Hi all perfect last day here in thassos spent hiking this morning and swimming in sea this afternoon and just spent evening dancing by the sea !
Breakfast ham and feta cheese omlette
Lunch 18! Sardines in olive oil and lemon juice
Dinner pork souvlaki with salad and red wine followed by Greek yoghurt and then complimentary home made Greek wine made from last years grape harvest which grows above the outside restaurant- this years harvest is ready next week I gather! Tonight last night open this season so a special party night! Might have sore head for tomorrow’s early ferry back to mainland and flight home!

Sounds as though your route planning may not have taken as long as our trifle planning but it has been as carefully researched and planned. Pint sized mugs? At least 2 of mine are pint and a half. You'll graduate eventually:angelic:

Sounds wonderful.

Yes, initially just went by the shortest route which included the Blackwall tunnel approach road and various other urban nightmares. Today was the day I finally figured out how to spend most of the time by water.

1.5 pints is a lot of tea!

I always have 2 mugs. Blackwall tunnel brings back memories of early Monday morning commutes from The Fens to S London.

Sorry about your long wait for your flu jab @ianpspurs , I walked in to the Drs to a queue of 2. I was in and out of the surgery in 5 mins flat!
Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries and cream washed down with a black coffee.
Lunch: Skinny Café pancake with bacon and SF maple syrup followed by Greek yoghurt and raspberries.
Mid afternoon: raspberry chia pudding and black coffee.
Dinner: chicken supreme with mixed veg and celeriac chips followed by SF jelly with cream and LC chocolate granola.

Hi, late post as I’ve been visiting my daughters and grandchildren today.
Coffee with cream
No breakfast as I didn’t feel hungry, ate a small pack of pork scratchings on my travels
L ham, cheese, mayo and 1 slice of French stick and a slice of choc chip brioche, we were celebrating some good news and as I rarely stray I indulged today. No spike and BG continued to go lower throughout the afternoon.
D Indian curry, no rice but 1 poppadom

Time with family, celebration and "forbidden" foods which din't spike - sounds perfect and after that cold well deserved @jayney27

Hello all.

Wonderful day here too. Blue skies and sunny, but a bit colder than before -- still enjoyed it though.

Breakfast: Two double espressos with cream and erythritol.

Lunch: Two scrambled eggs with okra. Half a DD keto roll with liver pate.

Snack: About 15g of 85% chocolate.

Dinner: About 100g of lamb loin with a sauce of beef stock, double cream, mushrooms, onion and chives. Half DD keto roll with liver pate. Lamb's lettuce with a lime-mustard sauce and feta cheese. A glass of red wine.

Late supper/early breakfast again: slice of Livlife chewy LC bread with a slab of butter, garlic & herb Boursin cheese with pink salt and mixed seeds, followed by a golden kiwi fruit (a rare and this time half price treat!), coffee, truvia & cream... and a bit later sneaked some Breyer chocolate ice cream.

Lunch: smoked salmon with cream cheese, baby cucumber, fresh dill & lemon juice; a few blueberries with a 1/3 pot kefir-quark blend; mint tea. (Forgot I'd planned to have salmon for dinner - I prefer a bit of variety :()

Dinner: roast salmon and stir fry asparagus with sour cream, dash of lemon and more dill; 5 little strawberries with clotted cream and erythritol; cinnamon tea.nd a piece of Lindt 85% choc...

Justaboutenough water...

(Probably a bit of a carby day fruit-wise but still around my maximum 50g carbs ceiling :D)

Instant Pot - the electric multi cooker which I mostly use as pressure cooker. Instant Pot also make sous vide sticks.

aka Magic Cauldron :D

Am back from hol.
Had a great (fantabulous!) time. Choccy box woodland cottage. Thatched. Wood fire. No wifi!!!
Let my inner Girl Guide out of her box and collected kindling from the woods.
Took the IP, since I had no intention of wasting my hol slaving in a rather basic strange kitchen, using sub-standard cookware.

So made a big pot of butter chicken(thighs) and a second pot of Red(bolognese) Mince.
Job done.
That and slow gin or cider was the evening fare.

Breakfasts were either coffeesubstitute and cream, or sometimes sausages, shared with Mr B and the hounds.

Then we ate out for every lunch. Over the week I had 2 jacket potatoes, 2 gluten free choccy brownies, 4 heavenly florentines and several hot chocs of varying quality.

Also some veg :nailbiting: with not too unpleasant consequences.

Was wearing a Libre, and was stunned to discover that the jacket potatoes barely blipped the blood glucose, and that a hot choc bg rise (full sugar) was ironed out by a trundle with the dogs.

Somewhere along the line I got accidentally glutened (no idea when, or how but suspect a brownie) which ******** my knees up for 4 days, so ended up going up stairs using my hands and down stairs on my backside, but other than that... awesome trip. All better now.
