What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

You are most welcome. We also bought some Christmas Vanilla crescents and cookies plus schwartzbrot - 1 postage fee. Bit disappointed with bg after the sandwich (5.3) but not too bad. Will make the cookies nearer Christmas.

5.3 is lower than I usually start with so that’d suit me!
Seriously, is that a big rise for you? Perhaps I wont bulk order to save postage just yet in case I get a spike - even ham and eggs gives me a rise currently.

Not a big number (rarely test before) but if the carbs are right as per pack info not many there - the smoked salmon was 0.6%, the Stilton 1.1% so maybe coffee and cream. Would obviously take that level to eat bread but quite expensive.

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries and cream washed down with a black coffee.
Lunch: chicken and pistachios with cauliflower and broccoli salad followed by Greek yoghurt and blueberries.
Mid afternoon: orange chia pudding and black coffee.
Dinner: chicken supreme with mixed veg and carrot and swede mash followed by SF jelly, cream and LC chocolate granola.

You confused me for a moment. I was wondering what on earth meat fish eggs were. 8 had visions of a kind of scotch egg stuffed with caviar of some kind.

Sorry, I’m terrible on here, I miss replies, do these ambiguous rushy posts. I just read your Mums card story which made my eyes go watery :-(

Hello my lovely’s.
Well I annoyed my body this morning with airport frankfurters, I was still at 11 after 2 hours, the labelling was in Thai so God knows what was in them. Just had 4 big naked prawns and a shrimp omelette and 40 minutes later I’m at 8.5 so time for a walk so let’s see what that does.

Good morning all. Got home late last night, so was too tired to post.

Yesterday ...

Breakfast: Two double decaffeinated espressos with cream and erythritol. Duck breast with a small serving of cauliflower-coconut rice and spiced red cabbage.

Lunch: Nothing.

Snack: A handful of pecans plus two squares of 85% chocolate.

Dinner: A platter of assorted cheeses, five slices of beef salami. A glass of red wine.

Morning ☺️ Woke this morning feeling as though I’d swallowed a couple of pillows after yesterday’s culinary shenanigans...
So far...1.5 black coffees, lemsip (not again as just checked and it has 5g carbs )
Some psyllium husk in SF squash, 1 litre water and just about to have 2 eggs and dry cure bacon...

So far today I’m 100% even though I haven’t actually eaten yet

Getting lots of inspiration from you all!

Well, me again...

Very very hungry today...prob carb hangover.

Today...coffee, egg and bacon, 2 boiled eggs...
Small handful of blueberries and strawberries with sprinkle of toasted coconut and flaked almonds, grated dark chocolate...cream and greek yogurt.

Not going to attempt to stay low calorie next couple of days but keeping carbs low

Got a load of greens for later and some smoked mackerel...early night and hopefully that’ll be a binge-free day.

Hope you’re all doing ok and avoiding the Christmas garbage in the shops...

Maybe one day faux food that massive companies make so much profit from, that’s so addictive and makes us so sick will have health warnings on the packets...makes me mad!

Hi all.
B: 2fried eggs and 2fried streaky rashers.
L: salad of little gem lettuce, avocado, hard boiled egg and a streaky rasher crumbled on top Olive oil and acv dressing. CCB and coffee afterwards.
D:Slow roast breast of lamb - cooked for 5 hrs and was meltingly tender. Such an economical joint too ( except for the 1/2 bottle of red I poured over it during cooking) roast broccoli and sprouts with it and shared the remaining 1/2 bottle with Mr C

Now that’s a menu! Dinner sounds fabulous!

Evening all
Breakfast - 2 of the salty chocolate treats and 2 mugs of tea (yes chocolate for breakfast - felt naughty but was amazing and BG friendly)
Lunch - my protein peanut & chocolate bar and a large coffee
Dinner - chicken, onions, mushrooms and peppers with chicken stock, a smaller amount of tomato purée and lots of random herbs & spices. It’s some weird hybrid cross of cuisines but I’m going to call it a spicy chicken Mediterranean stew :)

Breakfast: - 2 x 1.5 pints Dilmah English breakfast tea with almond milk; dog walk
Dockey : tea became too comfy watching and listening to my chill out songs on youtube
Lunch : Exercise bike then Smoked salmon, poached egg and avocado on seeded black bread toast (1 slice + 1 slice while waiting); 4.9 @ 2 hrs
Afternoon: Weights - finding 1 lift max on machine; coffee with cream; CCB
Evening meal: Large salmon fillet (fried in avocado oil must have crisp skin) and avocado (3 wonky avocados) salad topped with chia seeds

Hi all - hope everyone has had a good day. Pilates this morning so no breakfast
Lunch Hilo toast and fried egg followed by one advent calendar choc
Dinner half pack bare naked noodles with bolognese sauce and a glass red wine followed by one scoop of oppo vanilla and one chocolate oppo ice cream and splash of cream.
Ive felt vaguely hungry all day - I don’t cope as well now when eat fewer than three meals but exercise easier on empty tummy.
Got Christmas trees decorated today - pleased to have sorted and progressing through my long list! Also unexpected work issue today so had to do a bit today and may have to try and squeeze some work in I hadn’t planned before go up to York’s on Sunday
Busy time of year for us all.

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries and cream washed down with a black coffee.
Lunch at Patisserie Valerie: eggs royal with mushrooms instead of brioche (trainee waitress didn’t bat an eyelid when I said I couldn’t eat bread, she’ll go far!)
Mid afternoon: peach chia pudding and black coffee.
Dinner: strong cheddar and mushroom omelette with cauliflower and broccoli salad followed by SF jelly, cream and LC chocolate granola.

Late posting tonight

Breakfast - Hi-lo toast and butter
Lunch - Bresaola, olives, cucumber and tomatoes. Strawberries, cream and chocolate granola.
Dinner - Chicken pieces in seeds and oates, corn on cob.
Snacks - Nuts and Montezuma's chocolate.

Last night I made the mistake of looking on the ocado site and was seduced by an offer on their smart pass:(. Needless to say a delivery is on it's way, although I am impressed with the variety of low carb things you can get, there must be five hundred variations of nuts alone!! Going to try the Livlife bread as it is 1.2 g carbs less than Hi-lo per slice.

Also, decanted my home made plum gin today after it's three months in the dark. First time made with sugar substitute but after a (ahem) small tester it was declared delicious;)

Hi there - what sort of proportion fruit/gin ratio did you use? Plum gin sounds delicious.
