What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

It's always good to buck the trend @Goonergal . Think how smug you'll be when low carb eating becomes the way forward.

I used to work with someone who gave vegetarians a bad name, and didn't eat any vegetables or salad! To be fair she ate quite a lot of cheese and cream as we do on this site. Maybe she should be called a Dairytarian?? No idea how she didn't have rickets or scurvy;)

I haven’t eaten veg in a year, and no scurvy :D
Of course it all depends on how many carbs she was eating with the dairy.

You've reminded me of one of my late MIL's sayings "poor Aunty Jess, she had bandy legs because she had crickets as a child".
She always got her words wrong. I did a load of her sayings about a year ago. It didn't matter if we corrected her - she still said the wrong word so we just gave up in the end.

I find making it with Sainsbury's full fat coconut milk gives you such a solid Chia pudding that any flavouring doesn't make it runny. I use 3,5 tablespoons Chia to 1 can coconut milk. I've tried other brands but Sainsburys full fat (own brand) is the only one that produces the solid Chia. I stock up with cans any time I'm in as they have a bad habit with deliveries of sending the low fat one and it doesn't work.
I haven't tried it with coconut milk, definitely something to try!

First time I made it I didn't have the cauldron and it was so good in the slow cooker I just stuck with it.

The cauldron came to my life when I discovered a crack in the inner pot of the slow cooker, and I decided whatever replaced it had to do more. OK, the cauldron does more, but it has spawned other gadgets I had never even considered BP (Before Pot).

Bed a bit higher at 7.3 FBG 6.4 but rising. Seem to have developed DP again. Think I said already that my arms are feeling the effects of yesterday's aqua weights. Gone to my shoulders now. Maybe I should have halved my double sized weights yesterday.
B. As I mentioned earlier, I had one of these lo dough pretendy Maccy D breakfast wraps. Tassimo Americano grande with a dash of cream.
L. 1/2 a PHd salted caramel fudge bar. Not sure about this one. It was very sweet.
D. Air fried chicken thigh and drumstick complete with crispy chicken skin (sorry @DJC3). Added sour cream dip and 1/2 avocado.
No 1 starts school swimming tomorrow. He wasn't happy about it this morning as he doesn't see the point when he can swim. Seems happier now as it seems to be the swimmers in tomorrow's group.

When will you get the Xray results?

Doc is scheduled to call me on 21st Jan - wasn’t sure when the xray appointment would come through. Hoping he might call earlier. Will chase on Monday if I haven’t heard.

Evening everyone. Had very little appetite today so not eaten lots for the sake of it
Breakfast - cup of tea
Late morning - protein peanut & chocolate bar with a coffee
No lunch
Dinner - 2 pork sausages and a grilled tomato but have got a handful of berries defrosting to have with some extra thick double cream I forgot I’d bought and needs using

Hahaha I’ve missed your posts on MILs sayings. This one’s a cracker.

Just seen an ad for a TV prog which might interest some - Inside Hotel Chocolat. C5 8pm Sunday

Or Perhaps not. Willpower will be needed I think.

LOL. At least it starts after the shops are likely to be shut.

Not a lot of solid food today as I appear to have developed a stomach bug thats doing the rounds here so my food has consisted of a few nuts and 3 mugs of warm lactofree milk - 1 plain, 1 with nutmeg and 1 with cocoa - at least my stomach has clamed down somewhat - I was getting incredibly bored of my bathroom!

There were loads of them. I added one a day to my posts for quite a while. At her funeral they built in what we had come to refer to as her "Annieisms".
I had two favourites - when her husband was complaining that something was taking too long she looked him straight in the face and announced "Patience is a virgin".
The other favourite of mine was when she had to go to the dentist because she "...had an abseil on her gum".
Was it Hilda Baker that kept getting her words wrong?

Keep them coming @maglil55

Breakfast: Cherry and almond flavour chia pudding with mixed berries. I used almond extract, cherry flavouring (from Lakeland) and almond butter to flavour. Fresh coffee with cream
Lunch: A dash around the fridge for bits to take to work. Aldi sliced peppered pork loin, smoked cheese slices, babybell cheese, handful of baby spinach.
Snack: Husband had a couple of the LC Swiss cookies and an almond milk cappuccino (added dash of cream). I had several black coffees but gave in to a dark chocolate truffle at work. I wish people would stop bringing their leftovers from Christmas into the office! Good thing my husband works from home and doesn't have the same temptations!
Pre-dinner snack: 20g Aldi BBQ almonds
Dinner: Salmon with Greek yoghurt tandoori style marinade, curried celeriac oven chips, avocado, tomato, cucumber, onion (tiny amount) salad with coriander and lime dressing. SF jelly with extra thick double cream.

I make mine with four teaspoons of chia seeds and a 65ml Benecol drink, this makes an individual portion. I either use the flavoured ones or the plain ones with orange or lemon extract. Coffee will now be another flavour in my repertoire! I’ve made one this afternoon for tomorrow. But I’ll bear coconut milk in mind thanks.
Hope it works. :)
