Evening all. Finally a day with a sensible start weather wise - no fog/mist or grey skies. We were a smart casual little boy for a meal out today but that didn't ruin my day.
Usual tea fest. Carvery meal of Mediterranean vegetable and mozzarella salad followed by beef, pork, crackling, cauliflower cheese, broccoli, leeks, red cabbage (cinnamon in there) and gravy then cheese and celery. Yes, since it was commercial there were undoubtedly "non pukka" substances and it does seem to drive a coach and horses through my best avoided ( just now) foods. Since it was a restaurant the meat portions were never going to be a problem and I eschewed wine and coffee. Cheese portion was quite generous as was the celery. Setting was good - peacocks and ducks roaming car park and parked in front of crocodile house plus butchers open. 4 wood pigeons and a portioned rabbit purchased Julie couldn't face the whole Hare. 89 y.o.MIL enjoyed it all and insisted on paying.
@DJC3 I thought the £17.50 each for that entitled us to a seat on the board
