What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

@dunelm I looked up Marie K folding, images, and none of the things I saw gave me any joy, but it does explain that my sisters in law have been towel-wise ahead of dear little Kondo for longer than she's been alive.... myself, I rather fold things so a) I can see them all at a glance, b) they fit on the intended shelf while doing (a), and c) amuse the cats if thrown (sockballs only).
Hmmm it's tomorrow and many of you are up! Will try to catch up someday.
Weird food day. Rampant DP. Got up, walked a lovely mile.
#1 bfast a deconstructed butter pecan fat bomb feast
Forget what I did next!
#2 bfast peanut butter/cream mousse
Walked 5.77 miles!!! The last 2 were hard.
Lunch cheese and peanut butter fat bombs while preparing a family tea party, an ancient ritual tradition. More cheese while making cheese tray.
Tea party DWH&Half, cheeses
After guests left:: Sent MrZF off to Urgent Care to get a tetanus shot. He'd scraped his forehead on a rusty screw poor guy.
More cheese while tidying up party.
Supper celery, toms, man I can't remember!, and very thin slices of brown bread toasted well, with olive oil. 2 Ghirardelli 60% choc chips. 2 more later.
We leave today. Waaahhhh!!
Here's lunch bombs:

Third edit: I give up! Trying to add a pic third and final time.

@zauberflote - yes, the Marie K folding ninja technique has certainly been around for a while.
I personally use the roll individual items tightly and secure with an elastic band packing light technique when traveling - I get more in the case and each item is individually identifiable - as for the rest, I firmly believe that a messy desk is the mark of an enquiring mind.

Just had a couple of slices of Livlife and was reminded of Lidl protein rolls - which is fine by me because I always liked the LPRs. Even better, it didn't give me hiccups like the LPRs used to. So...

Breakfast: 2 slices of buttered Livlife toast with a fried egg on top of each slice
Lunch: Kefir and 30g mixed nuts walnuts, almonds, brazils, pecans
Dinner: Roasted pork belly with sugar free sweet chilli dipping sauce
Drinks: BDC, PSW x 2 litres

I keep having Diet coke everyday almost. I'm eating one meal a day and it just helps me by feeling good. I know it isn't good for me, someone suggested carbonated water, but that is bland...

I like flavoured carbonated diet drinks but they don't like me. The caffeinated ones affect my tummy (and not in a good way) and all of them leave me feeling hungry.

I read somewhere (don't know where) that the body reacts to the sweet flavour as if it were sugar, releases whatever the body uses to deal with the sugar hit, then doesn't get the sugar to process. The only time I'm okay with them is if I drink them with a fairly substantial meal. I do try to avoid them though and only have maybe one a month.

But if it doesn't affect you the same way then why not drink them if you enjoy them.

So, today I toddled orf to be eye screened and returned home around 2,45 having wandered around Aldi.- no LC rolls in sight. So far I have consumed lots of TWAM and 1 M and S tea with cows milk of some kind. Digestive system in full on out means out mode so i also drank a made up sachet of dioralyte. I will hopefully eat 2 slices Schneiderbrot toast with some farmhouse mushroom pate. Hope y'all had more exciting menus.

Evening all.

@charlie000 - Diet Coke helped me a lot when I did consistent periods of OMAD (several days, sometimes a couple of weeks in a row). Didn’t make me hungry or affect blood glucose. If you enjoy them and it helps with your wider goals, go for it. I have got myself to the point of only drinking them occasionally but that’s more to do with them tasting too sweet than anything else - some days they slide down nicely. Others - yesterday was one - it goes down the sink after a mouthful. Thanks to @BibaBee I’ve found the Aqua Libre infused water - no sugar or sweetener - and they are quite refreshing: at least the raspberry and apple one is, and not sweet tasting. The grapefruit and pineapple one was a bit sickly for me, but worth a try.

I’m looking forward to Meaty May as need to knock what seems like a never ending urge to overeat on the head.

Today’s menu was lunch of M&S Serrano ham and manchego cheese rollitos and a bag of their pork crackling.

Mid afternoon succumbed to two portions of cream whipped with cocoa and erythritol.

Dinner - exhausted and too lazy to cook so another pack of rollitos followed by a single serve of almond butter and cream. That’s the last of the almond butter.

@zauberflote I fell in love with the Ghirardelli 92% individually wrapped squares when on the West Coast last summer. Still have one or two in the freezer.

@ianpspurs hope your eyetest went well and hope the tum issues settle.
Breakfast: my beloved 1 slice HiLo toast, thick butter, tea lots of.
Breakfasted with youngest son before he left for Bath heading into serious exams in May. Had a sweep of the fridge and sent him on his way with a couple of steaks and desserts.
Lunch: small plate of 2 small turkey slices, cucumber, tomato and coleslaw.
Supper (on my own tonight) Prawn and avocado salad to use up things needing to be eated but I’m not complaining! Dessert may be lo cal jelly if at all.
Happy eating everyone.

I believe the low carb Aldi rolls & bread are in their Australian branches and not for us here in the UK.

@Goonergal just to say if I had to choose one handy meal on the run which is both filling and satisfying it would be Serrano and Manchego rollitos. I hope they neverstop them cos they are so handy. Good luck with Meaty May.

Thanks. Yes, they are delicious. Always have a stock in the fridge at work!

Evening. Hope your first class travelling was fun today @shelley262
B: Cheesy Scrambled eggs with a bit of kimchi. 2XTWAM
L: Salad of smoked salmon, hard boiled egg, rocket, kimchi ( getting seriously addicted to it) and avocado mayo.
D: Poached egg on smoked haddock on buttered spinach. V low carb but maybe not correct macros for keto. Havjng DCWC now and carefully measured out 50g of the second HC 100% dark Easter egg.

@DCUKMod I got one of the airfryers from Lidl last week, then felt guilty for a few days so didn’t use it and had all but convinced myself to take it back, then realised I’d lost the receipt ( didn’t look that hard tbh) So, I finally used it today - got a couple of organic chicken legs reduced in Asda so rubbed them with oo and a bit of chicken seasoning - Bob’s your uncle! Super crispy chicken skin, even I thought looked appetising ( don’t usually like skin). Didn’t eat them today as I already had our meals sorted but Mr C will take one for lunch tomorrow. Anyway - thanks for persuading me, but please, please don’t mention any more gadgets - Ive got no surface space left in my kitchen now!

It does take some adjusting but you’ll see from all the menus posted on this thread, there’s a lot of variety to be had (I’m a bit of a repetitive eater, but that suits me) and there’s some great cooks on this thread so pick their brains.

Hi @sandysan. I think it is fair to say I am no big fanboy of LCHF BUT as @Goonergal says there is variety and plenty of ideas in this thread. Not sure where you are but if in UK Sainsburys, Waitrose. Asda, Morrisons and probably others have LC/High protein bread and the butter is looked on approvingly. Even I can just about navigate this way of eating with some variety so stick around and you will find plenty of ideas and variety. i agree it can be daunting at first plus there is a natural bias towards safe options you know you will enjoy.

After seven long hours of nice aromas coming from the slow cooker, the corned beef was done yesterday arvo.

We had a taste after it set up a bit while cooling down, one slice cut into four pieces. Our grandsons wanted to have it all for dinner last night, they're true blue carnivores. No way that was going to happen as it is for a bit of cold meat for lunch. :D
