Well after the really dreadful weather yesterday we actually got through today with no rain which was good as it was annual pilgrimage to Clarks day for new school shoes, trainers and black plimsols. No 1 is highly delighted to be a "Big" size 1. Today was also school haircut day as they go back next Wednesday. More thunderstorms forecast tomorrow but I am going with SIL and both grandsons to Dinosaur Zoo at the Fringe. Been before when No 1 was about 3 but he can't remember it. Must admit that you tend to forget the Dinosaurs are operated by people. At least it's a break from the ceiling collapse. SIL/BIL now back in Australia too. @DJC3 - I agree. BGs do just take a strop sometimes. Thankfully mine seem to be stabilising again. Impressed by the zip wire though. Bed 5.9 FBG 7 (slept a bit later today).
B. TAG with ADOC and 1/2 a boiled egg to stop the DP rise.
L. Nothing
D. After the shoe pilgrimage we went to M&S and amongst other things I got 4 each of the salami, chorizo and ham crisps - great carb content @Goonergal. Odd that they were in the deli section. So had a pack of the serrano ham crisps and a repeat of yesterday's meal - lamb chops with mint, GF sausage and a salad of lettuce, tomato, cucumber, 1/2 avocado and helmans.
Coffee and a Grenade double chocolate biscuit.
Fingers crossed that the asbestos report comes tomorrow as I'm fed up being banned from my bedroom.
How awful having your ceiling fall in Maglil55 - I’m sort of catching up with posts I’d only skimmed before. I do hope it’s all sorted soon and you can use your bedroom again.
The shoe expedition is one that I used to dread. One year I thought I’d be clever and buy the new shoes at the beginning of the holidays and get the hassle behind me. Ha! By the time school rolled round again, their feet had grown and the new shoes were too tight! You live and learn.
