I think it would be a shame if it did die. Not only do I get ideas from it but reporting on it makes me just think about what I eat that bit more and not allow too many carbs to creep back in.
It has become less useful than in my early days, and I do wonder if the low level of chat/comment/feedback puts other newbies off. It's sometime difficult to gauge the difference between minimal chat and no chat and enough chat to keep it interesting!

Today I had no breakfast but mid morning did have a very small piece of cake and 2 biscuits as I was hosting a friends birthday coffee.

Lunch was Stilton and a very nice piece of Lancashire with a couple of cherry tomatoes.

Dinner was cooked by learning to cook hubby. A very tasty chunky beef chilli with aubergine and peppers. Sadly the beef was very chewy but that was partly the recipes fault. Next time we'll try it in the slow cooker which I always find safer with stewing beef.
Hubby and son finished off the cake and biscuits.
I'm learning when cooking full sugar food to only cook small amounts so it doesn't tempt me by being there too long. I still can't be trusted to say no routinely.

Another matching day of bed and FBG both 6.9. School started so back to the early rises and getting DIL to work as she builds up her business again. Both boys had a good day although I'm still home schooling the eldest on the afternoon to wean him back in. He's a lot more confident now and he's dictated what he wants to do to get back to normal. I just hope this time they let him. I don't think it will take long.

B. TAG and 2 slices of SLC toast with ox tongue and Dairylea.
L. Nothing.
D. Courgetti carbonara as Hubby had me making mac & cheese for him. A Lidl mini dark raspberry bar.

Tomorrow the boys are here for dinner so another busy day.

I was entertained yesterday by the 20 or so "nutters" who claimed they had "seized" Edinburgh Castle for the people and quoting the Magna Carta as their right to do so. The siege ended with an arrest. Maybe history lessons would help them?

Being diabetic lol.
B 2 x Burgen toast (too much I later found out)
Snack cashew nuts - handful
L bacon, beans (never again too many carbs), egg, 1 slice of Burgen toast.
D cauliflower rice & 5 tiny bits of scampi.
Is this a rubbish choice?

It's very different from person to person how many carbs our bodies can deal with, so your meter is the best guide.

D cauliflower rice & 5 tiny bits of scampi.
If you were asking about your dinner being a good choice, it's very low carb, but it also sounds a bit boring and possibly not enough food to satiate.
Did you enjoy it and did it fill you? If so, yes, very good choice!

I hadn't heard that story so I just looked it up. What on earth made scots think that the Magna Carta would apply in Scotland at any stage? And in any case, article 61, which allowed BARONS (the Magna Carta was never meant as a franchise for the common folk) to seize castles in England from THE KING (not the government in general and certainly not the Scottish government), was removed from later versions of the charter.

Breakfast: about 3 blackberries, 6 raspberries and some yoghurt.

2nd meal: my "collard greens" style dish with some sausages I found in the freezer. That's if I get around to it with Em here to cook the meal for her parents and brother.

Cake finished yesterday and in the fridge waiting to be boxed up. Ham in packets waiting to be put out on a platter. I'm just washing the potatoes and boiling the eggs for the egg mayo ready for Em to finish them off. We made some "Dulce de Leche" cream for filling and topping the cake yesterday, and there's loads left. Em would like just to eat it with a spoon, but I'm pretty sure it would make her sick. Not sure how well she'll get on with making white sauce and keeping it smooth. She doesn't want to make parsley sauce - her mum doesn't like parsley so it will just have to be fairly buttery.

Sausages and eggs, leftover veggies for break fast.
Leftover seafood marinara for lunch, it tasted better than the night before did.
Roast belly of pork, veggies, gravy for dinner.

I might have to follow @Rachox to the other chattery threads, it's very quite in here.

B: ff greek with seeds and 4 cherries
Exercise class on zoom, but these are finishing and I don't really want to go back to having to drive to halls etc. I'd got into a good lock down at home routine of classes.
L: scrambled egg and a small avocado. 2 squares 90% godiva chocolate
90 minute walk to and back from the local garden centre. I needed birthday cards but didn't like any they had so will have to drive into town over the weekend.
Came back with pockets full of foraged plums and blackberries, did scoff a few as they were so deliciously ripe. Tired convincing myself it was natural real food but didn't test my bg.
Have a libre on but haven't activated it yet so might have to repeat the experiment
D: leftover chilli reheated but hubby had all the beef from it because it was too tough for my teeth
Hours dance class
Supper: blackberries and cream and 2 seed crackers

An unusually active and small frequent meals day for me.
Edited for typo to change usuallyto unusually!

Sorry to hear your mouth is too sore to chew tougher food. It gets a bit boring having soft food all the time, doesn't it? I think my gums are, finally, getting over the trauma of getting my teeth out and I'm beginning to be able to eat slightly harder/crunchier stuff - thankfully, but still nothing that needs too much chewing.

Some bits and pieces left over from yesterday to use up today. Breakfast will be egg mayonnaise. 2nd meal will be the savoy cabbage "collard greens". There are some strawberries as well so might have some of those with some yoghurt at some stage. There are also some sausages which I took out of the freezer to cook with the cabbage but I think they will last one more day.

Thanks for the sympathy Ann, but my mouth isn't sore, I just have very soft poor teeth that are held together with various fillings, metals and hope. I dare not risk them on tough meat, crusty bread or toffees so at least diabetes has helped me by removing most of those foods

B : ff greek with seeds and blackberries
Mid morning: handful of almonds
45 minute walk to pub
L: burger, left the bun, just chips. Drank tea!
45 minute walk home
D: 60g camembert on 4 seed crackers. Coffee mousse. Resisted temptation for an alcoholic drink.
Libre had has me flatline at 5.8 since 4 p.m. Was erratic earlier, can only think it was still bedding in although I had given it 22 hours.

Maybe have some king prawns instead of the scampi? More flavour, protein and far less carbs. If you fry your cauliflower rice will just need to stir them in for long enough to heat through. Unless they are raw of course. If you like could serve with lemon mayonnaise. Enjoy.

No post yesterday, spent the day moving my daughter to London, got back very late.
Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Lunch: salmon and cream cheese sandwiches made with low carb bread with cheesies followed by a Fibre One caramel bar.
Takeaway dinner at my daughter’s with her boyfriend’s family, they chose Dominoes :wideyed:: 7 x chicken wings followed by strawberries and cream.

Edit for typo

Hi all the talk of the thread dying on its feet has made me realise that I don’t actually follow the ethos of it because I tend to post what I eat days in arrears rather than “today” so because I enjoy the thread I am going to make a real effort to post every day!
Starting with yesterday…I know, sorry!
Brekkie usual slice HiLo toast, butter, lots of tra.
Lunch was mixed salad, two slices turkey breast and small spoon of coleslaw.
Supper was panfried scallops and brill fillets with tenderstem broccoli.
Today same brekkie.
Lunch will be 3 scrambled eggs because I need to move them on. also its cold and I fancy something hot. No toast so there might be a couple of squares of dark chocolate with a mug of tea after.
Son coming for dinner and has asked for Indian t/a so for me will be Tandoori King Prawns and cauli bhajee just need to avoid the popadoms which is not easy, maybe one!

I don't think either scampi or king prawns have any carbs.

Forgot to post yesterday, despite my promising to do so. Had leftover mixed veggies with halloumi and the second cob of corn from last week's package (minus the now dried out edges, they went to the guinea pigs :))

Not sure what I'll eat today, I still have to go food shopping.
Had a rather chaotic start of the day. I always do my round of animals while waiting for the coffee to be brewed. Which is perfect if everything is fine, but not so good when things are different.

Found the goats in the rabbit pen, not much of a problem, they came running back as soon as I rattled their food thing.
But they've eaten from my birthday present, a young apple tree with very pretty little red apples, as big as cherries. A rather large chunk of bark is missing, and it was doing so well, full of young apples :( . I hope the tree will survive, not sure if it can.

Then I found my little grey chicken had somehow drowned herself in the water for the goats, poor thing. I'm really not good with dead animals, especially before I've had coffee.
Also had to clean out the trough and refill with my leaky garden hose. I attatch it to the tap in the bathroom and my sleepy brain had forgotten it's leaking on one end and to have that end in the garden and not in the bathroom.Thankfully the bathroom can dry without my help just fine.

The coffee was well deserved, but I have a feeling dinner will be something very quick and easy after all this.

Sorry to hear those misadventures Antje what a rotten start to your day it can only get better. Btw scampi here is usually langoustine tails covered in breadcrumbs, sometimes batter, and deep fried. Delicious but in my past now!

Ah, I get it now. So it's the preparation which makes it carby, not the scampi itself!
Scampi are eaten pretty regularly in the Netherlands as well, but I've never seen them with breadcrumbs or batter around here.

The "occupation" ended with one arrest and one injured policeman. Utter nutters. Totally agree @Annb, it was all about reigning in a corrupt monarch. They really don't have a clue.

Anyway, Thursday bed 6.2 FBG 6.

B. TAG and 2 slices of SLC toast with ox tongue and Philly.
L. Nothing
D. I'd slow cooked a gigot of lamb with carrot, onion, broccoli and cauliflower. Boys and Hubby had it with mash and mini cob, I had one of the cauli/broccoli souffle things. My last Grenade ice cream bar - will restock on Saturday.

Boys had another good day at school. Eldest had a great home schooling afternoon. Got through a load of work without him complaining. @Riva_Roxaban - I loved Spooks. We binge watched it again during lockdown last year.
