What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

B- 2 fried eggs on cheese on lc toast.
L- beef, cheese & gherkin sandwich in SLC bread. Big chunk of the last HC fruit and nut Easter egg I still have hidden from myself in the wardrobe.
D- Steak, mushrooms baked with blue cheese. Watercress and tomato salad. Wine.

As for myself, I still have to cook at 9:15 PM, so something tells me it's not going to happen today.
I guess a slice or two of low carb bread will have to make do, tomorrow is a new day!
I surprised myself!

Went down to the kitchen to make a sandwich and found myself frying onions, a burger and some bacon, and making a salad from endive, tomato and cucumber. :hungry:

No issues with cats while injecting today, I was close to 4 before eating so no dosing for this meal, but I still had to defend my meal, this time from Poes. :joyful:

Throat was really sore when I woke this morning, so listened to my body and stayed in bed until early afternoon. (Negative for covid)
Just had small chunk of cheese about 12.
Mainly read the forum and listened to talks from a Kick Sugar Summit. Most of the usual speakers so have tried some new to me. Some contrasting opinions, especially around salt.
Particularly interested in how much is evolving around mental health and nutrition/gut health (wishing I could get a younger relative to cut carbs as a start)
Did eventually get up, yay!
D: burger, no bun, courgettes. Hm lc yoghurt

@PenguinMum also check out yoga stretch called the pigeon, and don't be afraid to do it in public! Really helps and reduces pain so dignity can go out of the window. Anything to get rid of the pain. [[[Hugs]]]
Goodness I am a long way from being able to do that right now but thank you for the aspiration!

I use about the same recipe but I add lots of chopped onion, some garlic and a chilli pepper as well. No salt, a flavourful mature cheese does the trick well enough for me.

Toast and ginger marmalade for tea breakfast.
Pork chops and veggies, mushroom gravy for lunch.
JO'a fish cakes, and some chips for supper at six.

Small glass of single malt before i went ti bed.

THe PC clinical nurse did not give me any booze or medical dressings as the funding was cut years ago, apparently by a right wing federal government here.

@Antje77 a song menu item for when you go sailing next time.

Breakfast: egg mayo sandwich. Tea.
2nd meal: fish pie filling (no crust) and several more cups of tea or water during the day.

Ran out of codeine last night and had to wait until the pharmacy opened this morning so that Neil could pick up my prescription for me. Not the greatest night ever but I've survived.

The pineapple upside-down cake is packed up and ready to go when Em goes home - presumably her dad will come to collect her in the next hour or so. Then it will be gone and no longer a source of temptation for me. I "hid" it in the big back porch fridge once it cooled last night so that I could easily ignore it - I don't often manage to walk through to the back porch late in the day.

What is a phd bar please?
It’s a high protein, low carb chocolate bar, you can get them in Tesco, Amazon or from the PHD website:
Probably available elsewhere too but these are the places I get them from.
