Well done on having the 2nd vaccination@jjraak. I was advised to drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration which I did so I thought I'd pass the advice on just in case.
Morning team
6.4 on the meter of mirth
Another who's successfully secured a 2nd vaccination.
Jab jabbed, as they say.
Just awaiting 15 mins, then ...outta here..
Back at work and a marked tick up in scooters, both on road and parked up local...
Going to look like Saigon during this summer.
But OMG, those bozos on the E-Scooter...
Now, I have to admit, the younger me would deffo have one.
But the lack of protection would have me making best efforts to avoid harm
3 lanes of traffic, leading into a 4 lane LARGE roundabout...chap hogs middle lane, dressed all in black, with one teeny tiny white light marking him out ahead.. 9:20 pm at night so dark-ish.....oh dear.
Hope he's lucky
or at least an organ donor.
Enjoy the beautiful sunshine all.
Capital Warm & Radiant today.
Great you are both almost completely Covid jabbed. Hug for the possible discomfort I hope today you are feeling like you can rule the world. How are you getting on with your recovery from the broken limbs?end of today.
Not sure
i do have a little psychosomatic asthma at times,
usually stress related..when there's little to stress about..
But i did feel a headache coming on after jab, then i felt all hot and flushed,
so i took 2 paracetamol, to be on the safe side...and then....nothing.
think it may have been me imagining the symptoms.
and hopefully it's all passed.
Laurens chauffeur tomorrow for her Jab.
all goes to plan we both got as much help as possible avoiding the "Covid"
and perhaps, by some small miracle, we can get away IF restrictions ever get below
"Isolate at vast expense ."
israel..mmhh
portugal...didn't JC always go there..
( Judith chalmers..of course silly)
Night all.
sweet dreams
who knows what tomorrow brings..
Reminds of a story of hunting season in the good old US of A!E scooters? When I was working in Bath.. Yes I'm from Bath, live in the next county & working for a company in Bath.
Nothing fancy I started a shift at 6.30am.
So in the dark. I'd encounter the riders on these things dressed like "splinter cell" stealth mode, no lights.
I spotted them the same way a distant planet gets spotted? A shadow across the brightest star.. Look for the "ghoasting" across bollard lighting or oncoming vehicles..
Having said that drunken revellers in the city on my way back for a gig are a hazard too. But they do seem to shimmer under the lamps with the party frock black? There don't seem to be any road sense..
Came home v late from a shift oddly during a lockdown & a young lady was answering the call of nature in the road? I noticed a green Corsa parked awkward a good 40 meters away.
If it hadn't been for the lack of sunlight on her "exposed area." She might have been toast...
The snow tipped mountains look beautiful @lindisfelView attachment 49295 We went for a ride into the North Lakes after lunch and we finished up at Powter How wood near Bassenthwaite Lake.
Its a good wood for spring migrants but feels very early April-ish today and only a Chiffchaff was singing.
To the East the snow lay thick on Helvellyn and the whole of the ridged from the Raise over the top was well covered well down the mountains
The Western and Northern Fells had a lighter covering but the second peak of Skiddaw, Little Man, had plenty of snow on the back side.
This is probably the last of the cold this Spring, its due to turn much wetter and warmer this weekend so all the snow may disappear.

I hope the road to get back ASAP with Errant and everything else goes smoothly @SlimLizzy0705.2021
7.10am FBG 6.0
Decided to skip breakfast, just had two cups coffee with generous amount of cream in both. Walked into town bit of shopping , back again and pre lunch BG was 6.7
That liver of mine has been busy.
The road to Yippee has been blocked. MrSlim has managed to Rebook ferry on a different route for 21.05.
Both of us getting increasingly concerned as to whether we will be able to meet minimum residency requirements. So needing to be there ASAP.
I am not surprised that baby grand piano sold quickly. That would be a rare find for someone.good evening all
4.8 yesterday and 4.7 today
back to the charity 'big shed' yesterday and I'm amazed how tiring and background stressful it was just being around more people than usual, though we have our own little area where we are mostly well social distanced
Fortunately the reported cases are low for our area, the only large group of cases this side of Inverness were from an offshore supply ship and were transferred direct to quarantine.
Highlight donation of the first week back was a baby grand piano, we didn't think it would be a quick sale, but, we were wrong it was only on display for half a day when someone paid a deposit on it.
We got something to eat on the way home and then when I got home I sat down and just fell asleep.
So we had a quiet day today
Hope your day is treating you well
@dunelm - I like both paintings, the cool blue minimalist one works so well and the blossom is lovely, especially how you've given the different areas a different feel. Our trees haven't quite got to that stage yet so I hope the wind and snow haven't blasted them.
@SlimLizzy - I hope things settle down and go smoothly for you and that you get Errant sorted for travel.
@gennepher - two lovely paintings from your series, I've been enjoying them very much. The first has quite a mysterious sea and sky and the texture you've brought into the water area and the strong colour in the second one is striking and effective
@Muddy Cyclist - you'd certainly need a few extra layers to play outside here, though we are supposed to get a bit warmer over the weekend
@ianpspurs - good dog walking by the look of it
@lindisfel - a beautiful scene with that sky and the snow on the high peaks, we have a lot more snow on the hills again here at the moment too.
art bit - I feel I should apologise in advance for the 'sameyness' of some of the upcoming pictures
because I'm trying out different papers it seemed a good idea to try things I'm familiar with on each type so I could get an idea of how differently the paper behaves.
Darker clouds and showers today.

I look forward to seeing this finished @Muddy Cyclist We need some sun. I like rain (to save me watering) but a whole week of it...and every container in the garden is full...A good day here, cold but good garden company, sun and playing music.
On getting back I started my next watercolour based on a stand of trees near to my house that were glowing in the morning sun.
A4 watercolour will finish Saturday.

Thank you for your comments @geefull. The fallen blossom looked like a soggy rug after it rained. Lots of it still hanging on to the branches though. Always good to experiment and always a treat to see your paintings. Baby Grand - what a steal.good evening all

Thank you. Next week is looking rather damp here.I look forward to seeing this finished @Muddy Cyclist We need some sun. I like rain (to save me watering) but a whole week of it...and every container in the garden is full...
Glad the wound is healing. Looks like Unilever needs to be added to the portfolio https://www.bizjournals.com/bizwome...r-to-buy-beauty-tech-company-co-owned-by.html . I just pray Mr K's whisky money hasn't been frittered away. The poor man's only solace@Muddy Cyclist great fasting number this morning. - good to see you in the 5s again.
Today I have an unusually high fasting number of 6.3. It is a puzzle but I am wondering if it might be as a result of my liver having to use some of its stored fat - which up to now it has been very reluctant to do.
The P.E. Diet is very definitely targeting visceral fat (as my decreasing waist measurement shows) and also I am experiencing an enhanced feeling of wellbeing the longer I prioritise protein and avoid consuming vat loads of cream.
Yesterday 's visit to the nurse went really well. The photo of the wound is much less gory and I don't need it to be re-dressed for another week.
Thank goodness for Living Proof dry shampoo. I couldn't have survived without it. I am not being over dramatic but for me not being able to wash my hair is the worst part of injuring my head.
Disclaimer - I have no connections to Living Proof nor do I have shares in the company. Although, bearing in mind how much it costs and the huge amount I am using - buying shares might be a good idea.
