is that good or bad news?Sorry not to have posted till now but things been a bit up and down have just now been given a bed actually in the bay so no longer on the corridor no op carried out so far have been told that the surgeons are coming up with a cunning plan to fix me this plan may or may not come to fruition on Monday maybe Tuesday hopefully.
Thank you @Lamont D and all the best with the breathing exerciseslovely creative @gennepher.
And of course @dunelm as well.
have got a tickle in my throat as well which usually turns into a cold!
hence the 7.0 FBG this morning.
what a horrible cold wet and windy morning we have here on the peninsula. There is puddles, if not lakes everywhere. Bit better this afternoon. Still far too wet to do any gardening. And to get some fresh air. To do my breathing exercises that @ianpspurs recommended, I think! Gotta go. A friend of a friend is coming round with some goods for our freezer.
My best wishes to you all as always!
Pleased to hear from you @JohnEGreen - you might need a power bank to keep your phone topped up or a lead measured in yards to reach the nearest socket.Sorry not to have posted till now but things been a bit up and down have just now been given a bed actually in the bay so no longer on the corridor no op carried out so far have been told that the surgeons are coming up with a cunning plan to fix me this plan may or may not come to fruition on Monday maybe Tuesday hopefully.
You know you got us all rooting for ya .Sorry not to have posted till now but things been a bit up and down have just now been given a bed actually in the bay so no longer on the corridor no op carried out so far have been told that the surgeons are coming up with a cunning plan to fix me this plan may or may not come to fruition on Monday maybe Tuesday hopefully.
Such wise words @SlimLizzy .This is not lying.
You are actually being kind because attempting to insist on your own reality will only upset, anger or confuse her.
Am sure you will have experienced this.
A quote for you:
“If you have the choice between being right and being kind, choose being kind”
Just read @dunelm 's post @JohnEGreenPleased to hear from you @JohnEGreen - you might need a power bank to keep your phone topped up or a lead measured in yards to reach the nearest socket.
I love this Art bit @dunelm and the colours...Good morning everyone on a sunny, bird chirping start the to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. Early dinner out last night - table for 10. We have a reunion this evening. Mrs Miggins organises them every couple of years. So this afternoon it’s last minute “fine tuning” at the venue and then booking into a nearby hotel readying ourselves for the evening. Art bit - mixed media doodle. Hope you all have a good day. I need koffy.

Great song choice.Morning all from L.A. where spring most definitely ain't sprung. Bitterly cold wind and heavy rain at times yesterday but marginally better today in that the showers will only be light and the breeze fresh.@JohnEGreen I hope you are more comfortable and cared for today and there really is a plan for your treatment that actually works. Thoughts and prayers with you. @dunelm thanks for sharing the art and enjoy the reunion. @Krystyna23040 how kind of Mr K to drive you in his new car - wipe your shoes first please. Bizarre speech by Rish! yesterday basically telling everyone that 14 years of the party he leads pumping hate into the nation has made people hate others. In that sense and that sense alone the plan, if there ever was one, is working. This year has seen a sprint for the line in that regard and last week or two have been a disgrace. Here #1 son and JKP will try to gently persuade 94 yo MIL that the entire remaining contents of her bungalow can't come here and will need to go to house clearance . My very best wishes go with them - not an easy situation for any of them. The good news is JKP has organised for a local business to do this for free as they are confident it can be sold. Enjoy your day.
Hug for the bad turn and downbeat vital signs. Are you still on antibiotics and/or still have the infection? As for Kombucha this may clarify things somewhat - or not. @jjraak thanks for validating my song choice - when did people start desperately needing validation? I guess does my bum look big in this or do you like me in this dress was always asking for validation. As you were. It does seem as if Gens X and Z seem to accuse their partners of not validating them enough every 30 seconds. Is that really so heinous? Anyone else find that tedious? Policemen look younger as well though. Not sure that the komboucha works for me. Had a really bad turn last night and this morning which could have been a reaction to something but may not have been. The only new thing I had had was komboucha. Short of breath (sats 92%) and very fast pulse (120 but eventually 99/100). That would be normal for a reaction for me. On the other hand it may be gthagt I haven't been taking on enough fluids the last few days. Especially yesterday because it took so long to get my glass of komboucha down. Not pleasant while it lasts but improving now (95% and 78 bpm) as long as I don't try to move around very much. Intending to have a fairly easy day of it. BG at 0345 was 9.4. Just had breakfast and insulin so we'll see how that goes. No more of the komboucha for a while, then I'll check again and see if the result is the same. Then I'll know. Actually wondering if the komboucha could be alcoholic at all - it is fermented after all.
Reply Just starting a new course of Trimethoprin this morning. That's the 4th course and at the moment, symptoms are less painful but still there in a different form. After this, I don't think there is much point taking more, if the result is the same. I don't think taking so much antibiotic is a good idea.Hug for the bad turn and downbeat vital signs. Thanks for that advice. I actually do think it was the komboucha that did it. Over it now and getting back to normal. There appears to be a very small amount of alcohol in it, which may have triggered the effect. I'm told I don't hav e allergies because I don't swell up or develop a rash. It seems I have intolerances. Whatever they're called they are not pleasant.Found this on line@Annb.
Some unpleasant side effects are sometimes associated with drinking too much kombucha.15
These include:
However, scientific studies show the majority of sufferers either had a pre-existing illness or drank a contaminated batch of kombucha.17,18
- Stomach pain
- Allergic reaction
- Nausea
- Dizziness
- Headache16
Like with any live food or drink, it’s advised to allow your digestive system to adjust by building up the amount you drink gradually.
For example, start with 100ml a day for the first week and increase slowly. Also, it might not suit everyone.
