How on earth does a creature able to bend us to it's will and every whim, be quite SO stupid.

Thank you for explaining about facias and soffits. I knew "eaves" but not the different facings.
I think dog and cat parks would be great features in Little Carbing.
I'm starting to feel like Hilaire Belloc --
... a cottage in a deep wood
Within a walk of the sea
And my online friends shall sit in the pub
And eat low-carb with me.
But they shalt not have pasta or rice,
Cereal, potato or bread
But a feast they will have with so much that's nice
And no harm in one glass of red ;-)
How lovely to finally meet, no constraint
Away from the forum online
In a place @Muddy Cyclist or @gennepher drew
In their paintings which are mighty fine
But until then we must settle for less
The forum still gives us so much
The support, the laughs and I confess
Its my helping hand and my crutch
That's what I loved about itThat sounds like wonderful experiences for your son. I used to love Upstairs, Downstairs back in the '70s. I love the setting and the scenery of DA too. What I didn't like was the constant, ceaseless intrigue -- Thomas and O'Brien got to be too much too soon, and the complications with poor Bates, it was like Fellowes tried to cram the trials and tribulations of an entire society into one household.
Ah, ah us blokes are all alike, I always deny throwing myself down steep rocky drops to Mrs MC, she think I go out for a gentle potter. But I suspect she is not fooled.
For me the wetter, muddier and sometimes bloodier the better. I do try and avoid the later though as Mrs MC asks too many questions.

I can't let the day pass without mentioning the funny and brilliant Nicholas Parsons, who sadly is no longer in this world.
Mrs MC and I ran a small theatre for 30 years, a charity and for love not pay. Nicholas Parsons came to give a performance of his beloved Edward Lear poetry and insight into Lears life, he was excellent and most entertaining. However some theatre goers had come with very young children for which the performance was not appropriate. I was in the lighting box and could see and hear them misbehaving , their parents doing nothing to prevent it. I was wondering how I was going to stop this when Nicholas stopped the performance saying "This poetry and performance is difficult enough to remember and deliver without the noise and distraction from your children, please leave at once and I will then continue." Polite but very firm and they left.
Another great entertainer leaves a gap in our world.

This Morning won a TV award! My invite must have got lost in the post .
Play it again Sam.....
Powder and mix yourself, or the tubed/jar easy copout?
I would like to play myself, love the acting, dressing up, BUT I suppose you need some Big Names and Muddy Cyclists real name may be mixed up with an actor from by gone ages.Tbh could do with some help picking out the actors needed, to give the roles the meaty performances they so richly deserve.
