Just watching the remake (2016) of@Krystyna23040 I cannot over emphasise how vital it is that you support Mr K in every way possible while he is involved in this vital work. I dare not ask others to risk themselves in such selfless perils with no reward save that of knowing one is serving the greater good.. @Muddy Cyclist I missed the Gold a few times- you?
Mr K is very pleased to become an honorary member and has vowed to diligently continue with your work of international importance. We need to form a support group. I feel it only fair that we make Mr K an honorary member. Please let him know @Krystyna23040 - politely please. Meetings must remain top secret for now.
So pleased that you are feeling better.Couldn't resist, now that I have my head up again.
Thanks all for the good wishes.

another Sunday lunch at mum's, had to turn my pudding into something else today, I was aiming for gooseberry fool with some gooseberry puree from the freezer, I hadn't enough double cream left so I made it into a sort of fruit custard and served it over spiced lemon sponge, worked ok
Hope your day is treating you well
@dogslife - hugs, that's bad newsI hope that things go well for your mum and the other residents.
@Muddy Cyclist - Hope the next appointment comes through quickly.
your Christmas cards are lovely and very effective, I like their strong graphical quality
@gennepher - very fine stroke work there @gennepher and Popeye looks contented
@dunelm - another fine sketch, the foreground has given it a nice sense of scale against the rocks.
@SilverK - lovely jewellery with strong designvery much to my taste
art bit -
an abstract seascape - every now and again I get the urge to splosh colour about

Dr.John Campbell did a youtube video on Invermectin very recently, it looks as though it may help in treating Covid19. Worth looking at on his Youtube channel.
D.
I am enjoying the poems you are sharing and furthering my education, please keep on posting. It I should also helping me deal with a few spirits I have bottled up.Today's Advent poem is Launde Abbey by Malcolm Guite himself. I hadn't realised today was St Lucy's day nor that it was originally the Winter Solstice. The explanation of the poem in the book (Waiting on The Word by Malcolm Guite) is magical and mentions Guite's sonnet sequence on The O Antiphons ( I like those a great deal) and Donne's A Nocturnal on St Lucy's Day. We miss a great deal being a Protestant country IMHO. Currently watching the C of E Chrsistingle service so ties in as if planned. I'm enjoying Advent more this year than at any time but if my postings on Advent are getting too much please let me know.
Glad you are back.Hi Ian, Isn't she the Patron St of Dominic Cummings? Don't you know! Spending his bonus on a shrine at Barnard Castle, perhaps!
Couldn't resist, now that I have my head up again.
Thanks all for the good wishes.

Welcome back, good to see ya.(Mr Stupid writes...)
Lost my test meter in July. Too mean to buy a replacement. Found it yesterday.
After cases of beer and too much cheer..........9.1 mmo/lt at 0600 just now.
There is a Neil Diamond lyric that comes to mind. "Hello (again)"

Getting back on the horse slowly. Did not sleep
Much last night (or indeed any night since the demo rejection) and it is very hard to have any motivation for anything.
Setting myself one task a day to do and if I get more done then that is a bonus.
Today it is getting my self-assessment questionnaire done for the accountants and some other company admin done.
Hope everyone else has better, more
Productive days.

Good Morning and 5.8 for me today.
In the rain yesterday we noticed a cascade of water from roof to garden, not a welcoming sight. So today ladders to investigate. It looks like some facing boards moved and dropped taking the corner piece of gutter down so the flow along the gutter to the drain pipe is lower and the water can't resist leaping out. Whoever thought it was a good idea to clad perfectly good wooden eaves with plasticAh well will keep me busy this morning.
Keep safe and use the day well.
A feeling of spring and warmer days, pleanty of depth into that wood, lovely.Fbg 6.5
Painting this am done in peace. Cat is radiator hugging. Apparently I am not warm enough...
