Good morning everyone on another bright start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of burgers and eggs came in at 6.1 this am - greedy boy!

A cousin of mine is camping near Whitby so shot over there on my bike yesterday for a catch up. Not seen her or her husband for well over a year.

@Muddy Cyclist - Cader Idris looking good and @geefull - an excellent painting straight from the brush.

Hope that everyone is still enjoying some good weather. Koffy time.

Just a great piece of art again. You have a talent for this style of art even if your mom thinks you need another 10 years. :)

The better half was going the dentist this am but came back into the house and said the seat wouldn't rachet up in her Fabia.

Unfortunately the plastic handle had mysteriously broken off. I learnt to stop saying how did you do that! ....years ago? :)

So I took her to the dentist and will have to pick her up later.

I only put the seat right down and she has put it up to the top position.
I'll make her feel better by saying I should have oiled the mechanism.

good evening all :)

4.4 this morning

a sunny morning here after a chilly start so we went over to mum's to take out some of the hedge the frost and wind chill has decimated. We got about half of it done before it clouded over and a hill breeze got up :) pleasant to be able to get out into the fresh air again ;)

got home to discover that , once again, we have no phone. BT had been working down a manhole just further up the street when we went out but had gone when we got home :( Fortunately our internet is working fine

Hope your day is treating you kindly :)

@dunelm - I'd love to get to Whitby sometime, Yorkshire born and never been to Whitby :bag::hilarious:
Splendid crane painting again, you really have a way of detailing these and I like the hints of colour :)

@jjraak - kudos for your attitude and hope you feel you're progressing well again soon :) That's an interesting and pleasing photo.
mr gee is inclined to agree with @Krystyna23040 - run like h*ll first and give thanks afterwards :D

@lindisfel - lovely show :joyful:

@gennepher - very stern guardian, I wonder the badgers dare ;) your picture has worked well, very textured and I like the foliage, it gives good depth :)

Sorry no art. Had a call off son in law, he had crashed on his mountain bike the weekend, lots of damage. So spent late afternoon and early evening mending his bike, I had many spares, rear cassette, chain rings, chain and so sorted most of it. Frustrated though as I can't get break pistons to ease so rear wheel does not move easily with new break pads, a problem to think abaout. Still in the meantime he's going to be building his leg muscles. :)

I am the most inept mechanical person in the world so why I try I have no idea. :(

Good Morning and 5.8 for me. Low carb day yesterday with Egg salad followed by Raspberry and Yogurt so in my opinion BG should be lower.

Frosty start again but another day of promise. Visiting a friend this afternoon to sit in their garden and play some music, Instruments only no singing.

Keep safe and make the most of these Spring days.

Hope son in law is OK. Sounds like you have done a good repair job on his bike. Will we see you on the next series of the Repair Shop as their Bike Repair Expert?

5.0 this morning. On a Zoom course this morning. Really looking forward to it. The teacher is a physio and pilates teacher. He is an ex military physio and has so much expertise in injury rehab. I learn so much from his courses.

the advantage of doing Zoom courses instead of having to travel to London to do them is that you still can do your other classes that day.

The sensible person would actually cancel their other classes so they would at least have time to eat and a bit of time to relax after the course. Unfortunately I am not one of those sensible people.

Welcome to Dragon slaying for beginners - advanced is further along the corridor Genn. Today could well bring out all the Brexity/Little Englander fruitcakes but I'm not cared as we already have @karen8967 's meme and it is super salmon avo salad day on the avo fish salad diet schedule.:woot: @Muddy Cyclist please don't try to steal my most inept mechanic/diy/practical personage title. If'n you can't smash it wiv a hammer, pickaxe or log maul I ain't interested. A savage 5.3 was all Swipey had in store for me this a.m. Vertiginous resting pulse seems to be involved not yesterday's avo mackerel salad. Maybe not such a smart move taking 2 long walks with the dogs in the forest when tree pollen is high. Propitious window until October 31 to effect changes to this abode, solve the what is my A1c after 18 months/ 2 years and horror show of lc autumn/winter eating. Meanwhile, in the outside world, handcarts headed to Hades and beyond are trending. Not long to wait for that Bunga Bunga party folks. Enjoy.
Edit: Fence post rammers are spiffing:woot:

Oh dear about your phone @geefull hope you get it connected soon...

Those badgers dare anything...they are digging big holes now in my garden...I need to find the wire netting in the garage to stuff it in the holes they are digging...

Thanks for the compliment :)

Your painting...wonderfully gentle and peaceful for me...
