What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Hello everyone from a beautifully clear, bright but chilly edge of The Brecks and the known to and loved by me world. Some virtual property hunting is taking place. Bungalows with solar panels, wood/multifuel burners and Fenland underfoot are a very appealing proposition. Talking of which, so is lamb shoulder studded with rosemary, garlic and anchovies. JKP had her best night's sleep for ages so good news there. @dunelm thank you for the gradual reveal of another wonderful piece of art. @gennepher a simply majestic unicorn - bravo. @Krystyna23040 take care on that walk and if Mr K says this is far enough break the habit of a lifetime and listen. :D @dogslife covid influenced fbg is no guide to your real fbg so rest up and perhaps forget testing just now. Have a three degrees day everyone.
Thank you @ianpspurs for your advice. I hope you are following the words of the Three Degrees too. :)

the Sheeran/Bocelli song is on my gym playlist. Con te partirò must have been very moving at a funeral so hug for the memory.
Hummed & ahhed about a fuller reply.

But it's a Sunday..so what better day.

It was one of the more hurtful but beautiful memories of the day (on a day many of us were or will be besieged by such thoughts, I'm sure )

But , in a "God moves in mysterious ways", kind of thing .

My accident last year changed that, ever so slightly.

Without too much boring detail, I truly felt I died that day.

The mental separation of me from every single thing in the universe, was too much for my mind to accept or comprehend , hence the therapy I guess .

I sat in an endless dark void.

But finally after however long I was there, I had accepted death & the end of all things I knew ..

It was only when I was hit by what I call a bright light, that I felt a release, that one life was truly over & another possibly beginning .

(I try to explain my state of mind then to my therapist, best I get is " I wasn't hoping to live, in that sheer, desolate emptiness..I was desperately praying to die ..and shouted exultantly to the heavens when my prayers were answered.)

But as we know, this one didn't end, thankfully .

But the reverberations still ripple through me.

The day of dad's funeral, I said goodbye using others words & music.

But now I think it was only..
Goodbye ....for now.

Will we all meet again ?
We must each decide.

Before I wasn't sure.
Today...I'm much more hopeful the separation might be long ....
but it's only temporary.

Go safely.

Sat out with Midnight at dusk to watch the unicorn, how those comfrey leaves morphed into the unicorn's head. It was quite magical. Midnight was purring like mad because I was sitting with him awhile, in his nighttime world.

I woke up very early, so did drawings and paintings of the unicorn. Finally I was happy with this one...

So this is my Creative for today...

I have loads of TrailCam footage to look through, a bit behind on that. But I posted this one of the fox who is obsessed with checking Midnight's whereabouts...

Going back to sleep if I can...lots to do later...

I'll make a cuppa later...

Hurray for the unicorn art!

Good morning everyone on a wonderful fresh can of koffy day here in the dark and dangerous north. When I was over in France, koffy had to be ground on a daily basis - the daily grind my mum called it. My parents buy koffy beans. Loose tea is taken over by visitors from the UK as they don’t stock even the most basic “proper” tea anywhere in the EU it seems. Will I manage to get a booster jab today - remains to be seen (a bit like in an archeological dig). Art bit - colour added so best get on with something else. Hope your day is a good one. I now need some koffy.

Adding colour makes such a difference. It looks like a completely different picture now. It is brilliant.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who watched Jackanory as a child, if you didn’t don’t worry.
Blood sugars for the last few days range from a 4.6 to a 7.2 with the median being 5.8 .
.
Sorry but far to ( too or two ) many posts to study, ponder and wonder what the **ll are the on and I thought I was off the wall, so I have probably missed something of vital importance, please put it down my sheer ignorance, forgiveness is not required.
.
Here in Tilehurst Towers today is an unknown for me, but not for Mrs J, I suspect I will be left to my own devices ( other vices are available, best by mail order ), but fear not one of me, me’s and or myself will arrive at plan, which will be sure to get me, me’s and myself into trouble.
Stay safe all and remember, well someone has to remember something.

Hello everyone from a hopefully improving day in The Mysterious East. A wet, dark and distinctly cool start to the day but hopefully temperatures will follow bond yields not sterling's value. Krisis, what krisis? I'm not sure how help with heating bills will be of any use to people rendered homeless by crazy mortgage rates but the Singapore on Thames Cult have a cunning plan (MMT) so who am I to doubt their genius? Two absolutely wonderful pieces of art today so many thanks @dunelm and @gennepher. Those splashes of colour on such a dreary day hint at more than meets the eye. @jjraak such a moving and brave post which also, to me, points to deep truths which rationalisation doesn't begin to explain. @Krystyna23040 good news on the knee recovering and thanks to google I now know what a PEMF machine is. @dunelm leaf tea and coffee beans, ground in the device also making each cup/mug are the way to go. I hope you acquire a slot for your booster. Yesterday's lamb was sublime, I think the anchovies are "a must". MIL was absent saying she had a heavy cold so obvious concerns given her age and this being almost the exact day last year she was blue lighted to hospital and given a DNR notice. She wouldn't hear of JKP delivering her meal which was also concerning. Cheery soul ain’t I? Have a splendid day everyone.

Hi all,
Farmers have been slurrying round us the last few days. The duchess had to get the washing in quick.
Cold today with wall to wall blue skies.

Local surgery not getting vaccines till mid October so we have searched out less tardy sources.
Derek
Hug for #SlurryWorry (very niche condition) I hope you find a less tardy source for jabs. Seems to be some kind of geographical lottery for these boosters. East Anglia, political base of our leader and her deputy, seems to be well stocked. Pure coincidence, as was the £1.8k the FO credit card was used for at the Norwich City FC shop when a Canaries supporting lady was in charge. Malicious allegations I'm sure.

Hope MIL is OK. She sounds like a strong and independent lady who doesn't want her family to worry.
