What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Marjorie has gone to friends husband funeral. Its a big one, he knew a lot of people.
The coffin is doing the rounds of where he farmed in his youth.I shall be going out shortly to see it go by.

It went by rather speedily at 1140, I had a chance to raise my hand on Rob's last journey. It was being follow by helicoptered members of the cortege, the rotors making a real distracting noise no doubt filming the event.

Heatwave here @Annb
I'll ask the heatwave to come your way...
No FBG, no phone call. Gonna give em hell later!!!!

Welcome to the first and probably last day of real summer! Sorry @gennepher.

Painting getting done.

Mrs L is hibernating with the cooling fan.

Listening to cricket, eye on gelf, arrows tonight.
Haven't listened to politics at all, gone boring now! Can't moan as much now!!!!

Garden time soon.

@Lamont D Mark Wood hurling them down at 97 mph. Misjudge one at that speed and one is in serious danger. Best way to play those is from the armchair. How the heck do people catch edges at that speed? Different beasts top sportspeople.
Stand upright and put him in row z.
Speed is no good without accuracy.
But yeah, wow!
Just duck.
0.4 seconds from hand to bat!!!!!!!!
Do well to get them out today, reverse swing from the skipper later.

Thanks John and I hope the medical appointments go well for you. Interestingly, eight years ago today was also scorchio. Wonderful photo of #1 grandson, aged 3, on the beach at Sunny Hunny in JKP's Facebook today. Hat, UV protective gear, huge grin. Nice contrast with his Year 6 "Prom" photo from Wednesday. Yes, Bob your words but Joan's voice is more dulcet.
I was watching pre season training in 2016, and I just lost weight sitting.

Good morning all on what is in many ways an Elbow day (Lyrics) here in L.A despite a few reminders that now we see through a glass darkly - just to "keep us honest." So many people here with health care, especially communication and access issues, with which a better led country should be able to deal. For me the key takeaway from Lady Hallet yesterday was that British, mainly a certain type of English public school, exceptionalism has so much to answer for: we must, apparently, never, ever mention that B word or Boris. Until we do things won't get much better. First day of long vac here (wonderful memories) so I'm watching Disney with my granddaughter who is going with JKP to have her nails done and then lunch, as a birthday present. We have three grandchildren's birthday's within eight days but one is in Winchester. Nice enough place Winchester but it isn't Cambridge or Fenland - there's a crack in everything. To all those battling "bureaucracy" hugs, thoughts and prayers. @gennepher thoughts and prayers with you if today is anywhere near as gloriously summery there as it will be here - Genn's Inferno :arghh: . @dunelm thanks for sharing the art and bon voyage when the time comes. As @dunelm said

Peace be with you all
The first report is damning of how our country is run.
elitist values and economics are paramount.
As always, covering the backside of our betters, in particular the hierarchy and establishment.

Enjoy Roys - Dereham? Hoverton?. The Wroxham Emporium and town itself looked quite pleasant on my quick view. We didn't stop for coffee as my boys were taking me for a meal then Pike fishing from a boat on The Broads as a birthday present.
It was the Dereham one @ianpspurs. Not as big as the Wroxham one but still a good shop and it's major advantage is that it is just over mile away from our village.

Although it did take longer than it should have to get to it today as a car had run into the back of a lorry in the middle of our village high street. Actually, most of its bonnet was under the back of the lorry. Hopefully no one was hurt.

A thunderstorm is promised tomorrow @Lamont D

Sure Ian the life of his friends is precious to God. Just had a phone call from Marjorie, she has finished up at the Green Hill Hotel in a post service get together. She is there with Brian and Mary, Robs sister in law and brother. So what time she gets back is any bodies guess.
He was one of four brothers

Whilst tinged with sadness, such major rural community events can re-emphasise the cohesion around shared values. I'm sure Majorie will value and gain strength from time with the community. I sense you two highly value that community cohesion and are loved and valued in return.

Fbg this morning a nice lowish 5.5 have two appointments at the GP surgery today one for one of my regular monthly blood tests the other for wound dressing and hoping to get out to one of the local parks at some point in the day.
Best wishes it all went smoothly and you get that park trip out

Fbg 6.6

I am trying to play catch up in my bungalow today, but keep having to stop for a rest with this heat.

Thought I had better do this post...

Slept okay last night, but added a bigger fan to the bedroom. I prefer the smaller fans because they do not disturb the 'hidden' dust, and make my eyes worse....

Yesterday when I went down the steep hill into the town, the temperature dropped about 4 to 6C just going down a bit in altitude. And I noticed the same difference coming back, only the temperature got warmer and the air stuffier...

Wildlife Nighttime video
This is Pa badger falling off the swing...
I felt so sorry for him.
Midnight was sitting next to me as I was editing this and put his paw on the screen...

Creative...Kaleidoscope of some Yarrow in my herb garden...

The thermometer in the shade in my back garden tells me it is 24.9C at 4 pm.
What that means the heat inside my bungalow will be tonight, I have no idea....

I can see me going out in the garden to sleep ...before I knew there were nightly badgers and foxes in my garden, I would go and sleep on the swing for the night when the temperatures were like this...

I'll check what the thermometer in the potting shed is later...it has a bed in it, and is almost over grown and shaded by greenery...

Have your best day...
