I was so hungry on the way home. I always have some food and a flask of tea with me when I go somewhere, but I so didn't want that. So I bought a prawn sandwich (nothing else suitable; the rest looked half dead), and used my trusty spoon just to eat the middle of it...but the weather was that bad I stopped again, and got an egg sandwich. Spooned the middle out. They were a couple of rest breaks of a few minutes that I needed. There were thunderous lorries speeding - so much water spray from them, even my windscreen wipers on full were inadequate (why do things speed in bad weather, as though they are trying to outrun it). I'd have cancelled if I had known the weather was going to be that bad...
Just been sleeping the sleep of the dead this last evening, fell asleep when I got in...woke up at midnight starving, and with a headache. I can't be hungry, probably I just need some more water/tea/etc. Trying to rectify that now...
EDIT: It's now 1:15, over an hour later, I feel much better now I have got just some water (about a litre) and some tea in me. Headache is gone, and I don't feel excessively hungry anymore.
