What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.9 for me
First time I’ve had consecutive days in the 5s so I guess the IF is helping.
@DJC3 Clearly, IF or not, things are working so if it ain't broke don't fix it!
@HarrisonK I added a teaspoon of salt to water early on to move matters along. Psylium husks can have dramatic effects as well. Raspberries and flaxseeds work well as does walking up hills vigorously but a nearby wood is advised!

Edit:
Hilly walks with dogs and dog bags always used. No environment was harmed in giving this advice.

Thankyou.......your good wishes worked. The X-rays showed everything is progressing well, and the consultant was really pleased,so no operation needed!Ive now got a walking frame and am allowed to use my toes a little, plus a new lighter cast and a boot.
Everyone at the hospital, physios, porters, nurses, were just wonderful and kind, thank God for the NHS.
We could have had a party at 4.30am,I was awake too....couldn't take all the excitement!
At 4.30 BS 6.2

@HarrisonK are you drinking enough water? I found constipation a problem at the beginning of LCHF but increased my fluids and greens and it sorted itself out in the end. Psyllium husks are also effective at ‘bulking’ things up.

I'm drinking around 2-2.5L of water but I do drink a lot of black coffee. Probably need to increase my greens and add psyllium husks.

@HarrisonK Flaxseeds and Chia seeds work well. Flaxseeds well ground taste to me just like digestive biscuits so I developed a cheesecake based on these. Also make flaxseed bread based on Hemsley sisters recipe which really sets things in motion (couldn't resist). Chia seeds in salads is usually a daily staple for me as well.

Never tried flax seeds so that's on my list, especially if it can help build a cheesecake. Adding chia seeds will be easy enough as I'm eating plenty of salads.

Many thanks

Interesting. It cheers me to describe my little Madam as having human attributes and a way of showing personality so because she is part of me and I'm human, the logic is that it can't be anthropomorphism. You read well and have spotted my tetchiness but can't believe that imagining lower numbers will have a positive impact on the madam. I'm afraid I loathe Trump totally and also can't lie to save my life. The thing is the sun's shining so I'll just have to be a little more creative and a tadge sneakier to bring down the madam's number.

Make flaxseed pud... that's yummy. Careful with the seeds that you drink lots of fluid. Linseed also does the biz!!

Hi I got some really good advice -good as in it’s both achievable and practical for me - re diet changes and B.B. if you want me to re iterate it to you I can. it involved intermittent fasting high fat /protein, low carb, carb free meals 5:2. It was a work in progress achievable plan .

@HarrisonK cheesecake base is easy just melt butter and add to ground flaxseeds. For topping I use Fage yogurt and cream cheese and liquid sucralose, refrigerate, top with fruit ( I use raspberries or blueberries) and lots of cream. My family like this better than any other cheesecake.

@Goacher55 Thanks for the offer and yes I am open to all advice

@DJC3 Thankyou,it went really well and I now have a much lighter cast on my leg.Never thought I'd be glad to have a walking frame but it means I'm more independent, and can do a sort of slow shuffle so just four more weeks and the cast should be off my leg.

Glad it’s healing well and you don’t need an op. My husband has just had the cast removed after breaking his ankle at Christmas and says it’s such a relief to get rid of it. Hope the next 4 weeks fly by.

@SueJB I love your attitude and obvious determination. I am certain you will improve biggly. Covfefe

It truly shows how little I know when I had to use Mr G to find the meaning/non-meaning of this. My head has expanded, shocking!! I think I was happier living in ignorance
