Hello Ms P1ckle. Good to see you on the forum. Forgive me for stating the bleedin' obvious, but have you checked the calibration of your meter? (special strip provided). Otherwise a visit to your health centre and a parallel BG test, yours and theirs, would give you some reassurance. Best wishes for your progress with the T2 condition and all the other far more important things in your life!17.5 this morning
Hope all goes well with the nurse and your very sensible points regarding mitigating circumstances are properly noted. Of course, you are fully entitled to decline extra meds and try a further 3 months anyhow.Morning all. 8.6 at 8.30 am. I was really hoping for a lower score this morning to quote to the nurse at my diabetic review appointment. I'm going to discuss delaying my increase of medication for a further 3 months citing my recent pain and stress as the cause of my HbA1c increase. Have the best day you can today.
Morning everyone. 5.4 just delivered. A bit full in length but good line - corridor of uncertainty - a definite leave in this longer format. @DJC3 it says your birthday is April 2nd so I reckon happy birthday is in order.
Teachers of the world unite!Good morning all. Off to my GP in a minute to discuss the result of my last blood test.
Not much food yesterday (only one double decaffeinated espresso with cream, one pecan, and a tablespoon of guacamole, one quarter of a glass of red wine), and this has definitely helped fasting levels -- were 5.1 this morning and quickly dropped into the fours.
@DJC3 -- Happy birthday and enjoy your celebrations today. You are a wonderful person and so happy to have you on the forum.
@dogslife -- Keeping my fingers crossed for your appointment today. IMO, your suggestions are very sensible.
@Bubbsie and @Goacher55 -- Great that you are feeling much better today. @Bubbsie -- Good luck with your INR test, hope it turns out fine -- in spite off the flu/cold and all the medications.
@Traceymac23 -- Have a big hug. Hope you will get better soon.
@johnpol -- Hope the pump will help you avoid the many hypos you have been having lately.
@True Blue -- Empathize with you on the 24h-blood pressure monitor. When I had the same test, mine went off every 15 minutes during the day and every half hour at night. Decided to skip sleeping altogether rather than being woken up every half hour. They were surprised that they didn't see a dip in blood pressure during the night. Funnily, the nurse also thought that I should go to work (teaching) wearing the monitor -- would have definitely been a sight, having the device go off every 15 minutes in class, stop teaching, freeze, and wait for a couple of minutes until the measurement is done.
Have a great day, everyone.

Morning All. A disappointing 6.5 this morning. Went out to lunch yesterday two courses and chose best I could. Had a two hour drive home and my BG was 5.3 so had rollitos later and 4 squares 90% choc. Was in bed at 9pm. Enough about me.
@DJC3 happy birthday have a great day with your family.
@Traceymac23 sorry to hear you are still in hospital. Good FBG you must have someone bring healthy food in! Get well soon.
Have a great Tuesday everyone. Stay well, safe and wrap up warm.
Thanks Ziggy...it wasn't perfect however it was much better than I thought it would be...just back from the clinic & staying indoors...freezing cold...so more hot coffee & toast.Good luck with your INR test, hope it turns out fine -- in spite off the flu/cold and all the medications.
They'll love it DJC.Thanks PM I’m picking up the grandchildren from school later as a ( hopefully nice) surprise. Haven’t seen them for 3 months so I’m looking forward to that a lot. Family is definitely the best gift.
That sounds great. If you get the chance, drive up the Pacific Coast Highway - at least as far as San Francisco - you could call in the Carmel and see if Clint Eastwood is in. Also, for those of a certain age, there is Big Sur.Very tempted by Goa mate, but I promised our big granddaughter an American road trip, so tickets to San Fran booking tonight, and then we have to get digs and car sorted.
