What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

6.9 at 6AM.

The unwanted guests have started packing so hopefully I will have clear nose, minimal cough and normal temperature by weekend. On the flip side i did not take Lemsip or any other medicine last night and so average BG overnight appears to be 7.5.... can't help it though... taking lot of paracetamol causes tummy ache for me so I had to stop taking it as soon as suffering was bearable which was the case since yesterday morning...we shall see how long before the numbers come back to decent zone now that body won't be getting any foreign aid....

Have a lovely Friday everyone. :)

Morning all bit late testing again this morning was on nights last night and forgot glucometer . 6.3 @10am . Enjoy your day folks . I'm wondering if I should test after nights as im not waking from a nights sleep. My DP after nights would be lunch time after a few hrs kip

Depends if you had eaten while on shift it is after all a fasting test not an on waking test. :)

Fingerprick 7.8 Libre 8.1

Was hoping for lower with a before bed of 6.7 but BG decided otherwise rising through the night to the early 9s before dropping back into the “green zone” then the 3am slow rise skirting the border.

Road trip today to a nice little town in the mountains that has an amazing bakery where I am sure i won’t consume any Carbs

Based on what I have read about reason behind DP, if one is interested in analysing the impact of DP it will actually be a waking test. When we are about to wake up brain sends signal to Liver to giddy up and prepare energy rush hence the dawn phenomena... atleast that's what I understood.
