What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all. Methinks the 7.1 and other odd readings from Swipey mean it is a duff. @Estragon thoughts and prayers with you. @PenguinMum hug for the bug. @RosemaryJackson have a great time with your granddaughter (is it?) I should see all 7 of our grandchildren next week which will be good but I really don't want to go to Wales for that. @Ryhia o/t but great story. Have a great day.

Morning All. 8.1 likely due to a vomiting bug overnight and little sleep.
@RosemaryJackson have the best week with your grandaughter and well done on the fab readings. Best wishes and thoughts with @Estragon today.
Sorry to hear you are not so well hope you are feeling better soon - I had the same sort of thing the other week. I tend to have a cast iron stomach for things like this so just felt queasy, but it did put up my blood glucose levels for a couple or three days.

@Estragon I will be thinking and praying for you. Hope you recover very quickly
@ianpspurs, hope your journey to Wales is so much better than you are anticipating - to have all your beloved grandchildren together in one place and your MIL happy too, must be worth the hassle - lots of good memories to make. Hope your health situation is ok - thoughts and prayers are with you.

6.2 this morning -had a cup of coffee with cream and bloods went up to 7.6! must admit I tested less than an hour after the coffee but for goodness sake! Went out to put some steps in - came back around 1:30 bloods still 6.4. Bloods should have been in high 4s low 5s but I guess its not to be. Teeth still paining so I am hoping that is what is causing the higher numbers. Due to be at the dentist tomorrow and I believe he will finally take the slack teeth out. He hasn't done so up to now because I am having partial palate made so he has been taking impressions etc. Roll on tomorrow that's all I can say, if my bloods continue to be high then I could be in real trouble. Currently estimating my next A1c to be somewhere in the high pre-diabetic range so keeping everything crossed.
