What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning All. 6.7 at 0800. I just want to reach out to all those unwell at the moment and seeing their BG freerolling. We have to hang on to every day is a day nearer to getting well again. Yesterday I had 3 small meals last one at 5pm and slept in my bed but still not great result this morning. But it is what it is and I just want the pain to go now and be able to get out of my house again. All the lurgies and my ailment will pass but spare a thought for those that this scenario is constant. Thanks for your good wishes @Canvaspic . Have a good day everyone. Stay safe and well!
Preach sister, preach:):) Hope your knee soon returns to a condition that allows you to be mobile and all who ail are restored asap.

5.7 today. Happy with that but only because I did a home HbA1c test last night. It's 37. I was getting a little worried as my readings are slightly higher these days. Used to see more 4s. Until I started just trying to maintain. This is the hard bit for me. Having to eat more when you really aren't that hungry. The a1cnow isn't 100% accurate I have found in the past. Although as near as **** it.

When I think about it now I remember I treated myself to 2 new potatoes, stuffing and gravy as I was so happy about the reading and that's why it isn't low 5s.

I'm 10 months into this woe and just about have it sussed!!! It's taken a while!

Got my beautiful grandaughter today. Love Thursdays.

Ha ha Ian. I should organise rallys for when I get my mobility back. I could be your warm up act. I must confess the long term suffering and disability of my late mother who was slim and T2 is very much in mind. For some this challenge is VERY hard. How lucky am I. Btw I love a bit of poetry and I dont mean limericks. Onwards.

Perfectly normal reaction to be frustrated. The time to worry is when numbers don't matter anymore - being human means you come with emotions.:arghh:
Well till about 6 tonight numbers can’t matter - got to work and realised I’ve left my Bg monitor at home. So I’m going to sit in false happiness and imagine I’m a nice healthy 4 all day :joyful:

Happy National Poetry day. 5.2 was displayed on my meter - not exactly Keats that one. Bit early in the year for this but sums up my lack of love for the WOE lately

"SWEET were the joys that both might like and last;
Strange were the state exempt from all distress;
Happy the life that no mishap should taste;
Blessed the chance might never change success.
Were such a life to lead or state to prove,
Who would not wish that such a life were love?

But oh! the soury sauce of sweet unsure,
When pleasures flit, and fly with waste of wind.
The trustless trains that hoping hearts allure,
When sweet delights do but allure the mind;
When care consumes and wastes the wretched wight,
While fancy feeds and draws of her delight.

What life were love, if love were free from pain?
But oh that pain with pleasure matched should meet!
Why did the course of nature so ordain
That sugared sour must sauce the bitter sweet?
Which sour from sweet might any means remove,
What hap, what heaven, what life, were like to love! "

Woke to 5.8 at 02.36! Went up to 6.3 before I got up and a depressing 7.9 after the school run despite trying a small amount of carb early. So fed up. Had a Constant 8.2 all day yesterday and I only ate less than 20g carbs all day :(. Not sure why I’m suddenly out of control. Feel fine too...

I got my latest HbA1c result online (but no other results), which is 46. Higher than last year but still below diabetic range, and lower than before I was diagnosed T2. I was expecting a reading of between 42-47, so it's ok.

My fbg today was 7.5.

Good morning all. The meter expects me to believe 4.7 this morning - unconvinced. Rarely the same as 2 hrs post last meal but has been last 2 mornings. I could also do without a 3.30 wake up on darker mornings. More tea drinking time I suppose. Last 2 mornings reasonable numbers came off the back of good sleep so trend probably won't continue. Have a great Friday - even ***nal fans:angelic:
