What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Nothing to do with this thread except in so far as many of my posts are a tad doom laden. I just saw 2 green woodpeckers very close to my patio doors. In 63 years I have never seen one and was amazed when google came up with an answer. See. I can do pleasure:angelic:
That sounds like a nice sighting on an autumn afternoon. Havent seen the green ones but we often have the black spotted ones in our Scots pines and they were a real nuisance a few years ago when they hammer drilled the gable end brickwork at dawn. It was right behind our sons head in bed and at least it got him up early! We had to replace several bricks but put them off by hanging tin foil trays in the area.

I'm only 38 but I definitely have senior moments.

So do I and I'm 66! :D It's always comforting to be reminded that it's not an age thing! lol

My coffeepot moment took place 20 years ago. I was stressed at the time. Very, very stressed.

Watching garden birds, especially rare ones, is a great way to lift spirits, ianpspurs. :joyful:

5.8 today, higher but expected as I succumbed to 4 small pieces of 85% choccy with my late night coffee and cream. Only got myself to blame haha. It was delish! #noregrets

Kippers for breaky. Painting. Meeting daughter and grandaughter for lunch. And some paperwork. Busy day.

Have a good day every one.

I am so glad you posted this! I just finished a wonderful horrible lunch of spaghetti and meatballs (more meatballs than spaghetti) and apple crisp. I just wanted a hot lunch and something different to eat. I may regret it when I test BG later on but I won't feel guilty. I was at 5.5 before I ate which is very good for me.

I may have to count this meal as my Thanksgiving dinner a month early and have just plain chicken on the day. :)

Morning...what a day yesterday...set off for Manchester...sun shining so sunglasses on...made good time until the A1)M) was closed...followed the diversions which added an hour & a half to my journey...tried hard to be philosophical & did well until the M6 came to a halt...sat there for forty minutes...left home at 9am...got back 8pm...shattered this morning but ready to do battle for the weekly shop:banghead:...woke to a 5.8

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all fellow retiree's who don't have time to pass wind, let alone have an afternoon nap.
Fasting bloods
Yesterday 5.3
This morning 8.6, yep I ate it knowing the consequences and surprised my bloods were that low.

Well folks yesterday I was summoned to the GP's yesterday for their well man clinic as they call it.
Yep chaos mayhem and for once I didn't cause it. The wrong nurse called me in after a little chat with her running in and out to seek advice, the correct nurse cashed into the room saying " we've been scouring the practice looking for you" I sat there giggling thinking my day is complete chaos and mayhem reigns.
They did my feet, blood pressure then threw me out saying the hospital have done everything else, which they did 4 weeks ago.
Well folks have a good one, the scales of Bflat and Eflat are calling plus a large koffy.
