What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all. After a couple of days of what for me were high numbers in the morning I decided just to water fast for 24 hours . Very pleased, in a slightly cautious way to get a 5.4 reading this morning. I have a week end away with friends where a lot of walking /talking/ drinking/ goes on so my fingers are crossed. Morning all a very confusing 11.2, now I understand how unpredictable diabetes can be, but come on, I'm watching what I eat (it's on the end of my fork.......I'm here all week folks!!!) religiously test and went to bed on a 4.2 (little low but not gonna hurt me as my readings rise during the night) and then high readings. The unpredictability train has gathered speed!! any way take care as the weather begins to get colder and foggier (lots of fog this morning )

Morning All. 6.7 at 0800. Not happy with that. @johnpol sendings hugs and shrugs. I dont know what to make of bad results after a perfectly careful day of eating. I am at the end of my pot of strips also @Freema so thats very interesting. Also I dont use as many as 6 months ago so the pot lasts longer. Connundrums!

Bit late this am but 4.9 bg so I’m happy.
Ketones 1.4 always check on a Friday all good.

@PenguinMum tip read on here I’m trying out when open new pot put about 10 into old pot and put others away in cool dry place and then they don’t get 49 more exposures to temp fluctuations. I’m trying it out - it’s also easier to get them out of the pot!

Nice mild start here. 5.294339623 today - I just put in the average since October as couldn't be bothered with conniptions involved with testing and seeing numbers I don't believe. Next 3 days will be like Christmas here anyhow. 2 granddaughters from Southampton sleeping here for first time later, whole tribe at grandson's 6th birthday tomorrow and all my boys plus grandchildren ( I'm counting the one in progress) for Sunday dinner for first time ever.
