What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

6.5 this morning. Or 7.4. Depends on which meter you want to believe. Can anyone tell me why I bother doing this as there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the numbers and no relation to what I have or have not eaten recently? Maybe FBG has more to do with how well or how badly or how long I've slept. Or the weather. Or whether or not the moon is blue. I do know that if I stay lower carb over a period of time, my FBG numbers run lower. That makes sense to me.
Agree with you - you have posted what are my thoughts at the moment.

Frustrated isn't it Saskia. All sorts involved, food, sleep, stress, illness just a few examples. I feel a 14 day cgm would benefit you. Just wearing one for 14 days will show you so much.

I guess so. We can hold each others virtual hand through it all. I must say your BGs have stayed impressively good throughout.
Thanks for that and I like the idea of a virtual hand hold. First reading today was 4.8 @ 5.30 rising to 5.4 @ 8.00. As for what they have been lately I have next to zero trust in them or what eventual A1c will be. I am really hoping to be proved wrong and a set of blood results to show all this (to me) nonsense works for me. Currently - 5 years in-, this is faith without works - which is useless.

19.2....stood induced, they say I’m type 2 I’m taking metformin and Gliclazide, I was only diagnosed in March after being in DKA and sepsis. I’m really fed up now that I can’t control this anymore, go specialist nurse hopefully imaging me Monday

I had sepsis in 1997, you need to take good care of yourself Karen.
