What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Back to testing with a new tester. Instead of trying to send back the test strips I bought in error I simply purchased the glucose meter which was compatible with the test strips. Justified the purchase as my old tester was losing battery life very quickly. Not sure I like the new meter, too simplistic, no date and time function and only saves the last 10 meter readings however I am not complaining about the meter reading. 4.9 this morning. :)

I didnt realise that you had to do your bloods before you get out of bed, I always do my first one once im up, washed and dressed, mine was 6.1 this morning which is pretty good for me, I've now been put on Ozempic to help me lose some weight, I alreadyhave to inject Tresiba 200 insulin and take Metformin, along with water tablets, so fingers crossed
That’s another thing I’d also forgotten!!!!! Along with lots and lots of other things K

Good Morning Everyone
BG this morning and I tried the testing before getting out of bed it was 7.7 mol
Then I got up 5.30am tested again BG 7.4
This was less than 5mins between both BG tests.
My problem is to see what my BG reading is before I get out of bed means switching the bedroom light on and waking my hubby up I wake at all hours from 2 to 5am and get up. I’ll put up with the difference in BG readings at least I can wash my hands before testing and disturb no-one.K

my meter does log longer but I also log my results in the mySugar app as I like being able to see the trends.

7.1 this morning, I think the current family situation is definitely it helping, but as we always say, this is a marathon not a sprint, and I am doing ok

Hi Marianne sorry to see you have a foot ulcer and hope it heals quickly for you, I totally agree it is a long haul thing the Diabetes and needs constant monitoring to regain control but perseverance will always win so good on you. Best Wishes K

5.0 this morning, but getting out of bed took an effort of will. I seem to have blown all my enthusiasm circuits today.

At the risk of being branded an addict - caffeine will fix that, won't it?

New meter read 4.8 this morning. Not sure I believe it - (but I'll gratefully accept it) seems to have a mind of its own depending on the angle of the blood draw on the strips.

5.3 this morning and tested positive on LFT. I was expecting this as my bloods yesterday was 4.9. Its interesting to see how the body is reacting now i check my bloods. My daughter also tested postive so we off for a drive through PCR test in 1 hr :)

6.4 today., and I am cntinuing with the daily mile, though it has increased to exercise for an hour at leasr each day. This will become an ingrained part of my daily routine, and I thank @DEBBIESCOTT for the suggestion and encouragement. Serendipity in a low chat thread.:)
