What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

8.3 - Not at all good enough for me. Rubbish.

Bloods up this morning with a 6.8. Highest yet but I don't know if it is a lag effect due to carbs or dehydration as I didn't have my usual cuppa last night. Experiment now complete I actually found I couldn't maintain the 95 gms of carbs a day after the first couple of days, so ended up having around 60, - as a result my cholesterol started to rise which was not good. I have certainly learned a lot about myself and how my body responds to food. After 3 years in remission I thought my insulin resistance may have improved looks like I am still very resistant. Its back to the low carb way of life now and with a bit of work, I hope I can recover my happy place. I'll have to wait and see. @Estragon you keep on going you will get there.

5.2 at 7am today
Yesterday I was ill in bed and when I did test it was also 5.2 or 5.3

Has anyone else noticed that their arthritis is really playing up in the heat? Normally mine is bad in the wet and cold but I could fool myself into thinking this is a hot winter :( ;)

Yes to the heat playing havoc with my arthritic joints, @valann I also note higher fasting levels despite having poor appetite, so in awe of yours.
@Estragon, after 17 years T2, and perhaps 7 years low carb I thought I understood how to cope with BG levels. Alas, nothing stays static with this crafty T2, and I am able to tolerate less carbs than before. So tweaking has taken place, and I have altered the ratios of protein and fats. Something had to give, and that is my weight . Every ounce I lose goes and finds another ounce to bring back with it.
Rather than derail, I will report yesterday 5.8. Hurrah! Today 7.1 , nuff said.
Just have to keep working through the maze.

FBG 4.7 this morning. Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the floor. Today is going to be a good day

I won’t subject everyone to my happy dance.

Morning all. I've just done my happy dance!! Bedtime reading.... drum roll please! 5.8!! Couldn't believe it so did it again..... 6.1!! Haven't had those figures for months and months. This morning 7.2. For me it proves I eat too much so another lesson learned about this demon. Been type 2 since 2009, you would think I would know by now! Stay safe everyone.

Morning All 6.7 today which is better. Hate 7s. Iinteresting comments about rising BG in hot weather @Pipp and @BrianDoc. @RosemaryJackson you’re doing just fine considering your body is healing. My wasp stings are on day 8, still nasty so need a call to the GP today. Stay cool and safe today everyone.

Morning, my bg was 19.6 mol/l this morning. It was 26.7 mmol/l before going to bed last night.
I am dmt2, I had good control with low carb diet alone for almost 2 years. The last few months have seen no change in diet but hyperglycaemia. I’ve experienced chronic stress which is likely to be a cause. I’ve just put a call out to gp /dn. feeling very nauseous.
