Morning all. @Ashybang....fab-u-lous! @aylalake..... yep, I did another test on another finger and it was a bit higher. @PenguinMum and @mojo37, thanks. I always put my high readings down to diet and never think about what problems may cause them. I wish I could stop the world, I would like to get off for a breather!! Narly forgot, my reading this morning was 8.4. Have a good day folks. :)

Morning @RosemaryJackson. Carb intake is the chief reason for raised BG readings. We stress food intake and timing of meals because those are two factors which we can control.

Unfortunately, the body adapts to the continued presence of an anti-diabetic drug like Metformin so stopping that medication is bound to lead to a rise in blood glucose readings. On top of that, you're suffering from sciatica and pain can certainly contribute to higher readings. I hope your practice nurse has prescribed effective pain relief.

Sneaked in with 6.9 today. @RosemaryJackson please don’t fret about FBG getting pain relief is most important right now. Be very kind to yourself and hope you can get some naps if possible. I know its hard to medicate sciatica pain.
@flonvic sending big hug. @callyandy and @Ashybang great stuff!
Yesterday was one of our happiest days the sort you count on one hand @ianpspurs looking forward to dressing the tree with him.
Take care everyone, hope those who need to get better.
Joy

Last day of Swipey so who knows if any readings are even close but a 6.2 fbg certainly isn't @callyandy poor tree image attached along with a little village and singing Santa - fan favourite. Took 2 yo 20 secs to work out how to clap and make him sing. I took the tree image, i never take photos, never really liked them. I'll get JKP to take a better one to do justice to the job. @PenguinMum you will have so much joy and so many precious memories.
Oh thank you Ian, that's made me smile  . Love the concentration of decs at 2/4 year old's eye level... I bet that was a fun afternoon

Too many to list here . . .
6.2 - Previously on this Channel - 6.8, 7.3, so directional correction over just three days and I’m Knockin’ on that Hive-Dive “I hear yah Buzzin’ But yah can’t come in…..” (not quite Fats Domino …..)

Good Morning fellow fasters....
Couldn't match yesterday's BG 5.6mmol.
However, I'm happy even though kicked out the five club after just one day within.........
Today's BG at 6.45am is 6.2mmol and the downward trend still continues.
(Snap Estagon) 6.2mmol ..... Maybe tomorrow we will make five club together.

Being told “Oh go on, one won’t hurt you!”.
Conversely, the food police.
5.6. My gob is well and truly smacked.

Went downstairs, loo, fed cat, had celebratory glass of kefir, tested again because I didn’t believe the 1st one …
5.6 again. Hmmmm. Still don’t believe it. It should have gone up.

Unless the fact that I have ice on the INSIDE of my bedroom window this morning has anything to do with it. My meter spent the night under my pillow.
