Type 2 What's the current soundtrack to you life ?

Never heard of Clamavi De Profundis before. Neither am I familiar with Tolkein's work (just never wanted to read it, or watch video/film of it). The singers sound Irish as does that particular tune. Are they? I really enjoyed it. Thanks for putting that up.
"Clamavi de Profundis is a music group inspired by religious and classical music but expanding beyond those genres as well. They compose their own music and also perform classic songs"

"Many of Clamavi de Profundis' songs take place in constructed fantasy worlds of their creation. They have two worlds they currently write songs about. One is a world called Erna ("Irna" in the dwarven language) created by mysterious Guardians. The second world of theirs is currently unnamed but the tales from it are centered around a mighty dwarven fortress called Hammerdeep and the people who live there."

Yes I believe they are mainly Irish the group they say is made up mainly from members of a family that like to sing compose and perform music.

Dead can Dance Opium well just about anything from them really.

Listen to that @JohnEGreen ..nice.

Recently discover how calming music can be
(like really calming when your mind whirrs away )

Finally I understand the "music calms the savage beast" line.

Your one reminded me of this from the movie 'Last of the Mohicans'
..quite a bloodthirsty scene at the end, but the music...very calming, to me.

When my .... hits the fan there are two tracks that bring me back to base - eventually. The first one is
Bach Cello Suite No1 in G. The second one Here comes the sun by George Harrison. Both remind me of being in a field of lavender with the sun on my face and my dad who passed away lying there beside me telling me its all going to be okay. Just bliss :angelic:

There’s no better song than Leonard Cohen’s “Anthem”. The words that lift me are “there’s a crack in everything but that’s how the light gets in. Beautiful song and so uplifting when you’re down.

I've been a Cohen fan for over fifty years.
His poetry is incredible his dark brown voice is incredible!
He has always come across to me as a deeply spiritual man.

You've got me needing a Cohen fix now!
I'll try not to swamp the thread... promise.

Leonard Cohen - One of Us Cannot Be Wrong

Love Miles Davis but Leonard Cohen has been the backdrop to my life ever since I saw him at the Isle of Wight about 50 years ago. His voice just got better and better as he aged. What a loss he is to us all. i went to his last London concert a few years ago he was as relevant to me then as he has always been.

Happy Christmas to all, it’s my day off diabetes, I shall have some Christmas Pudding……..naughty but nice!!!
