What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

i think you are right... maybe its a seasonal (thing after having had so much cheese over Christmas). Normally I love cheese and I've got a good selection in the fridge but none of them appeal to me at the moment.
Funny, I don't think I would ever find myself uttering those words! Well, unless the fridge was stuffed with cheese strings and dairylea.

Hellomi friends, good to brie back. Hope all had gouda days.
Sofa based day today - get up and go had got up and gone for some reason. Lots of it about hereabouts with folk blaming the fortnight long plume of smoke from the fire at the compost making facility.
Menu was 1 of @dunelm's crackers with cheese (jarlsberg and smoked cheddar) plus CCB at lunchtime and turkey and mushroom curry with celeriac rice this evening. Lots of tea.
Hope for a feta day tomorrow.

I'm a bit tired tonight after the stress of yesterday and then a drive over to Leeds to deliver a training session this afternoon. I was glad I had a portion of cottage pie stashed away, as didn't feel like cooking.

Breakfast: I completely forgot to make our usual chia pudding, so ended up making a batch of these this morning: https://alldayidreamaboutfood.com/mocha-muffins-with-chocolate-chunks-low-carb-and-gluten-free/. A definite thumbs up from my other half! He deserved a treat after yesterday. Served with fresh coffee and cream.
Lunch: Mr B was at home and had cheese, sliced roast beef, sliced roast turkey, avocado, cherry toms, baby spinach. For me, lunch was provided at the training event but I was restrained on the carb front. Chicken tagine with a tiny spoonful of rice and a couple of small new potatoes with almonds. I managed to give the delicious looking bread the body swerve.
Snack: Black coffee for me. Mr B had an almond milk cappuccino with a dash of cream and another mocha muffin.
Dinner: Cottage pie with celeriac mash, Parmesan and garlic roasted sprouts, broccoli.

Shortly there will be cocoa with almond milk, cream and inulin (trying to up our fibre). Possibly a nip of Talisker on the side.

On the news he stated that he hasn’t had temper tantrums - is tha another one of his “friends”?

It’s like watching a toddler threaten to hold his breath til he turns blue. The next step is the actual down on the floor screaming and peeking up to see if you are watching. Now that’s a crisis, or an emergency, or whatever name it is today. What *were* his parents thinking when they raised him?

You totally crack me up thank you for making my day so regularly!

well lets see ! breakfast full cooked with double cream coffee, lunch 2 slices of bacon and some dark chocolate , tea corned beef strew and then some strawberries with double cream, also had some chocolate wafers mid afternoon.

Tested and didn't raise blood sugar , also tested after tea and was 7.1

I wouldn't be eating chocolate wafers regularly just today at a friends caravan as we are Thirsk visiting a friend, tomorrow we are going to Ripon to the museums .

Evening everyone

Breakfast: Homemade granola (!) hi lo toast
Lunch: Tarragon mushrooms on sourdough (in cafe)
Dinner: Lacklustre beef stew with seven sprouts! Strawberries, mocha chai pudding, chocolate granola and cream.
Snacks: Mosser Roth 85% chocolate, salt and vinegar peanuts.

Bit of a sad day. great auntie died in early hours three weeks before 105th birthday so not a bad innings and a life well lived.

My favourite story is when she hid two 'inedible' rashers of bacon under her mattress in the care home, as evidence for an expose about the meals in the local newspaper after she died. Much to her disgust they changed the bedding that day and found said bacon! :arghh::arghh::arghh:
