John Gregg started out with one goal, to deliver (by pushbike) fresh eggs and yeast to the families of Newcastle. Ten years later he chained up his bike and opened Greggs of Gosforth. Greggs plc is the largest bakery chain in the United Kingdom. It specialises in savoury products such as bakes, sausage rolls and sandwiches and sweet items including doughnuts and vanilla slices. It is headquartered in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Sounds good but I try to avoid them if possible in this the new Carboniferous era.
 
5.5 and a great relief to be back in the 5s
New coffee machine finally arrived yesterday and is bubbling away now so I’m very happy.
Going to a Diabetes workshop this morning, no idea what that will entail but in the words of Jack Reacher I’ll expect the worst and hope for the best.

10.2 this morning after a horrific evening last night of jumping between 7s and 17’s! So I was expecting much worse....

I do believe that whilst Gregg's were not to blame, they were allies in my aquisition of T2, along with the chippy and the pasta parlour.

I was such a weak-willed person back then, in my carboholic days :bag:;)

Morning all a unusual 3.1 today, felt as rough as the dog!! So had to treat a small hypo, as selfish as it sounds I can't wait for the "cone of shame" to be removed off Fossie dog, then we can go back to sleeping on a night!! Take care on these very frosty and cold mornings everyone.

it's a chilly start here this morning so I will be wearing lots of layers today. We will be going out to meet mum and her visitors for lunch for mum's birthday, 'all day breakfast' may be the thing for me I suspect ;) or an omelette perhaps.

Good morning all on this very cold one. I’m baking this morning for a a friend’s birthday do this evening. He’s gone low carb so I’m doing a lc lemon drizzle birthday cake. I’ve got a recipe I’ve done a few times but I’m adapting and experimenting this morning should be fun

Morning All. 6.3 this morning better I couldnt bear those 7s. I have had water works problems this week and have pain over my right kidney so I suppose its possible that affected my levels.
@ianpspurs sorry to hear about your injury hope it gets better and you dont push yourself too much. Mrs P and Mrs Andy Murray both putting their husbands socks on in the morning!
@johnpol hope you and Fosie dog have a better day.
@Charis1213 good the knee let you get a proper sleep.
@DJC3 glad the coffee supply is reinstated.
@Bubbsie agree and its not going away anytime soon. My OH says it is costing his company a fortune to prepare for no Brexit and stockpile product and yet it may all be in vain if it doesnt happen. In these circumstances not every business will survive.

Sorry to hear about your kidney pain sounds like a drs visit should be on the cards? As you say it could explain bloods going up if you’ve been brewing an infection take care and wrapped up in this cold weather x

Thanks @shelley262. By coincidence I saw the DN for review this Wed and handed in a sample which she has sent to lab.

Hope the potential kidney issues are resolved asap as that sounds like a very plausible reason for rises in fbg. I can now put my own socks on unlike the Murrayster but I have never won a Grand Slam tournament or been SPOTY (or spotty). Still on tour, still dry Jan, no coffee Jan, no testing Jan. Maybe unrelated but sleeping longer and more deep sleep. Y'all play nice now and share all your toys except those "special" ones.:angelic:

Morning everyone, a 6.1 for me today. Have been up icing a batch of vanilla and chocolate cupcakes for Hubbys Nans burial (after do). Sadly they are not low carb so will only be looking and not tasting haha....
