What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

I’ll check it out. Suspect a carby sausage!
Almost certainly but the 2 biggest issues for me would be it is a Cumberland so way overspiced and 25 or 45 mile round trip for that and no doubt Julie would sneak in other reminders of why the C21st is soo wrong.:arghh:

And sardines (for the calcium)

Okay, who cab put together a meal which includes liver, cocoa and sardines?
Oh, I would imagine somewhere on DD or similar that combo has been used to make bread - with the obligatory cream cheese and toe curlingly awful yum of course:arghh:

@shelley262 - I've made ghee once, on the stove top, with a limited success, but lots of folks make it in the IP's, sometimes on a slow cooker setting? There are loads and loads of recipes out there, but I wouldn't care to suggest one.

If you're a member of the Facebook, IP UK Group, then that's where I'd go.

I rather fancy setting it going and walking away, but then, I'm just terminally lazy!

@DCUKMod _ what are IP’s?

It's Instant Pot, a popular brand of electric pressure/multi-cooker. For me, it has paid for itself in the sheer convenience of fabulous broth, without needing to watch it at all. Not to mention ribs. Not to mention many a fabulously taste-tasted things.

Contrary to @ianpspurs popular belief, I'm not on commission.

For or am for an indication of what it can do, there's plenty to ponder for our way of living.

This lady does lots of LC stuff: https://twosleevers.com/recipe-index/?fwp_cooking_style=instant-potpressure-cooker , and this lady less LC, but very good recipes: https://thisoldgal.com/?s=

Thank you, looks nearly as fancy as my sisters Thermomix.

I've never heard of a Thermomix - it sounds like some sort of nuclear weapon :wacky:

As Mr C had yesterday and today as his 'weekend' it means that today is my Sunday (I will be do glad when his shift pattern changes and we get to have Sunday on Sundays.

This Storm Erik high wind is horrendous - a neighbour returned a panel from our greenhouse and the whole thing is definitely looking a bit sad now.

Today....

Breakfast: Bacon and eggs.

Lunch: Chunk of Wensleydale with cranberries cheese

Dinner: Roast lamb, roast parsnips, cauliflower, broccoli, sprouts, carrots and gravy - I only have a small amount of the carrots and parsnips and none at all of the broad beans

Dessert/pudding: not sure yet but probably berries and Turkish yoghurt

Drinks: Black decaff coffee with breakfast, decaff tea with skimmed milk for mid morning, still spring water for the rest of the day and a glass (or two) of red wine with dinner

:D Agree!

Hi all. A not quite OMAD day today.

Following walking football and a very long walk going all the way through to dinner wasn’t quite possible. Had a piece of flourless chocolate cake and extra thick Jersey cream around 4pm. An hour and a half later before dinner. BG had gone down by 0.1mmol so a win all round.

Have just finished dinner of beef short rib. Even more delicious than usual - were much, much fattier than usual making them extra tasty and very tender. Totally stuffed but found room for 2 of the Hotel Chocolat 80% pralines.

@Brunneria I’m with you on the carnivore/chocolate way of eating. Highly recommended.

Evening all
All this talk of IPs reminds me how much I miss mine and what a hassle is is to think of and cook meals in the traditional manner
I popped into M&S today but no sign of that valentine sausage sadly.
Woke early and had a handful of nuts, couldn’t have a ‘proper’ breakfast as we were off to the gym later that morning.
Lunch was a DD breakfast sandwich
Dinner another DD recipe called a tuna casserole. Odd but HTS for daughter’s partner who has been missing a tuna melt sandwich since joining me on lchf. Had it with the last of the brussel tops sauteed in butter.
Wish I had something puddingy now.

Choc ?

3 poached eggs on flaxseed and hemp flour toast with reduced sugar tomato sauce for lunch. Chicken mayo and avocado salad this evening. Mid afternoon 10 cal/LC jelly and cream. Posting from a kindle until New Chromebook arrived _ no idea why I told you that
Update: did have a coffee today which I think was first this year. Was ok but no better than ok. I like cocoa better now. Still can't find a good reason to have alcohol in 2019

Yes :D
It is kind of the concentrated essence of eating. Every mouthful is intense.

Today i had chillied scrambled eggs, too much chocolate (green and blacks) and roast lamb reheated with (cough) garlic pickle.

Hi all
@DJC3 hope gym went well? Is it a new thing? I’ve got a day pass trial for local gym and pool and giving it a go on Monday before go up to York’s and to mums - thinking of joining if enjoy but not ever been a gym bunny so will see - Iprefer walks in countryside but do enjoy swimming though.
Breakfast 97% pork sausage and egg - one of each
Lunch 2 lc crispbreads buttered and with ham and cheese on top followed by a hc Xmas chocolate and 2 100% choc buttons - felt in need of some choc!
Dinner chicken curry with cauliflower rice and glass of gin and soda followed by lc raspberry mousse with yoghurt.
