What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

yesterday 09-02
breakfast: 2eggs, portion of spinach with butter, 2 hash browns. (is this where it went wrong, before only had one)
lunch 1 slice burgen bread with cheese, yoghurt and berries.
Shopping, finding it hard to resist sweets etc.
dinner: small glass of maderia. Smoked salmon bites filled with cream cheese, cherry toms. Fillet steak, 2 tiny roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, broccili, cabbage. large glass of Chardonnay. Raspberry meringue roulade and fresh raspberries.
Annoyed with myself for giving in.

Hi all. Wow, a lot to catch up on today.

@VioletViolet thanks for your kind words

@DJC3 nice BG levels

@zauberflote congratulations on the IP

@ianpspurs hope you enjoyed the short rib. Finding myself without any today, felt the need for a trip to Waitrose to replenish.

Also visited M&S where I found the ‘love sausage’ shelf, but no sausages - sold out. Did, however, find a pair of jeans for £2.49 and a size smaller than I usually need in M&S.

Another OMAD plus afternoon snack day. Snack was the final piece of flourless chocolate cake with extra thick Jersey cream followed by 40g salted macadamias. Dinner was butterflied leg of lamb covered with pink Himalayan salt, garlic butter and rosemary. Very delicious. Finished off with the final 2 Hotel Chocolat 80% pralines.

Edited to correct typos.

Not moved far from sofa or done much more than watch sport today. Besides tea and cocoa I had 2.5 big for them short ribs cooked in IP. They were as good as they could be and as following as they could be. Genuinely didn't fill me or do a great deal for me but I know plenty of the world's people would be delighted with them. Have had some symptom and will need to eat again probably a few cheeses.
Good day for sports results and hope you all had good food, good company and good health as far as possible
Edited as kindle thinks tea means yes and filling means following and Stilton is symptom

Evenin’ All,
Today has been an eating day.

B: a breakfast omelette
L: tuna with oomi noodles
D: soon to be a 3 bird roast from the freezer. I will avoid the stuffing, which is GF but contanimated with apricots :yuck:

Am trying to transfer my affections from choc to halva, as an experiment.
Just to see what happens...

Is the masterplan to be premenantly based in the South West?

Yes Mr P is down there already, as are 2 of my daughters and grandchildren. Just need to clear this house which is large and has the hoardings of many generations stored in every nook and cranny. The Cornwall house is small so no room for anything which isn’t useful. IP takes up half the kitchen but has earned it’s place!

Sort of - have signed with a developer but could be months before he has all the appropriate planning permission ( and it’s not guaranteed he’ll get it so we could be back to sq1)
Crossing fingers for you and meanwhile sorting out all the accumulated stuff will help make you feel lighter! Also probably help you sell if you need to remarket it.

Lunch; a 2 egg omelette with shredded ham hock and cheese. A slither of my chocolate.
Dinner; steak au Poivre and, as I had to open a bottle of wine to make the sauce, some wine.
I had to use a splash of cognac also but the bottle went back into the cupboard. Shame really. Ah well.

The Wallace in the ear was nothing on my other one. With these strong winds the empty wheelie bins (@zauberflote - see the image. We have these wheelie bins in different colours to split our trash) were getting blown onto the roads and I had a few near misses as they flew along with their lids flapping. Told the boys it was "the attack of the killer zombie wheelies" which they found highly amusing. View attachment 31234

I know what you mean. Council is fixing the pavement near my driveway. They put up those barrier things. Green with 2 legs. Of course the wind blew them down overnight. Missed my car narrowly:(
Took photos as I was leaving for work at 6.40am on Friday morning. Reported on their website, announcing I will check my car in the daylight and let them know if they have to cough up for repairs. Of course they have not acknowledged my message.

Lots to catch up on! Missed posting yesterday due to getting back very late from the rentals last night. It's crazy really, neither of us drink much usually, but my parents are a bad influence! The gin and wine was flowing last night! Anyway, we had a very delicious LC meal. Feta, fennel, shredded leek salad with a tiny amount of pomegranate seeds and pistachio for starter. Slow-cooked lamb shanks with celeriac dauphinoise and wilted Swiss chard for main. I took chocolate mousse made with 85% choc for dessert. Today's food was lovely, if a little indulgent! :joyful: I was feeling a tad groggy from last night's excesses, so a walk at one of our local National Trust places blew the cobwebs away.

Breakfast: Leftover chocolate mousse. :hungry: Coffee with cream
Lunch: Leftover "breakfast" frittata
Afternoon: Two americanos with a splash of hot milk.
Dinner: Chicken "pizzaiola" topped with prosciutto served with fennel, shredded leek, lemon, parsley and Parmesan salad.
Just off to make a decaf almond milk cappuccino now in lieu of pud.

Wow Bargain jeans

If you added some rose water and a little sweetener to the yoghurt it would be Turkish delight flavoured. Delicious with raspberries!
You are so inventive you must have a whole array of essences and oils in your stash to add to chia puddings, yoghurts etc? I’ve just bought some lemon extract but think it would be good to buy more of the essences, oils etc for flavourings anything to bring differences and a proustian touch to what we are able to eat without raising our bgs - mm do they do a madeleines essence and how about ....???

I have a box full of them and it's amazing how much they can lift things. Great in cakes or sweet bakes too.

Chocolate mousse for breakfast. So deliciously naughty:wacky:
