What have you eaten today? (Low carb forum)

A full english for brunch today sans the carbs stuff, OK, bacon, eggs and mushrooms.
Mid afternoon, a slice of my olive oil chocolate cake - well, I made it so I can scoff it.
Dinner, a pizza, cheese, almond flour and pork scratchings base. Not a lot in the cupboard so blitzed a couple of tomatoes for a slurry and topped with sliced onion, more tomato a few blobs of pate and a handful of grated parmesan. Happy days.
What’s for pudding? Oh! Chocolate cake and cream - don’t mind if I do.

Evening. Hope your first class travelling was fun today @shelley262
B: Cheesy Scrambled eggs with a bit of kimchi. 2XTWAM
L: Salad of smoked salmon, hard boiled egg, rocket, kimchi ( getting seriously addicted to it) and avocado mayo.
D: Poached egg on smoked haddock on buttered spinach. V low carb but maybe not correct macros for keto. Havjng DCWC now and carefully measured out 50g of the second HC 100% dark Easter egg.

@DCUKMod I got one of the airfryers from Lidl last week, then felt guilty for a few days so didn’t use it and had all but convinced myself to take it back, then realised I’d lost the receipt ( didn’t look that hard tbh) So, I finally used it today - got a couple of organic chicken legs reduced in Asda so rubbed them with oo and a bit of chicken seasoning - Bob’s your uncle! Super crispy chicken skin, even I thought looked appetising ( don’t usually like skin). Didn’t eat them today as I already had our meals sorted but Mr C will take one for lunch tomorrow. Anyway - thanks for persuading me, but please, please don’t mention any more gadgets - Ive got no surface space left in my kitchen now!

Ahahhhh. But, but,..I have p lenty more gadgets to tempt you with!

I was in the Korean supermarket today and bought quite a big bag of kimchi. They had all sortss of kimchi, but for today I stuck with some cabbage based deliciousness (I hope). I left the Chonggak radish/ponytail radish variant for another day.

Hi everyone! Not much to report here, just OMAD for me. Lots of herbal tea and water, coffee with cream to start the day. Dinner was leftover goulash with cauli mash followed by SF jelly and clotted cream. A cheeky small piece of Hotel Chocolat Easter egg, decaf coffee and cream.

@Goonergal I'm glad you found some Aqua Libre flavours you like.

We've been eating ours in 10g chunks too. Not organised enough to do it in advance though!

Will you be bringing home Arbroath Smokies?

Oh...forgot to mention, some lovely LC recipes in Waitrose Food Magazine this month. Egg muffins with smoked salmon, asparagus with romesco sauce, crab and asparagus salad. Also discovered Unearthed Bavarian frankfurters in Waitrose today

I'd forgotten about romesco sauce, I made it years ago to serve with scallops and it was delicious. Quite LC too.

Sounds delicious.

Fantastic!!!! That is excellent news.

But was this a high protein Lidl roll, and where the heck did you get it from? I have been in withdrawal since last year when they stopped making them.

Lunch yesterday: Toasted (HB Low Carb bread) cheese and onion sandwiches.
Dinner: Mutton chops and veggies.
Breakfast: Cheesey omelette, bacon, tomato, reheated spudlite.

Drinks: Black coffee no sugar / sweeteners, water.

I'm behind all the way to my last post which I may have sent while asleep...
Today was The Last Day, which means piles of laundry, shutting up house, blahblah, and has traditionally been for me a Starbux bottled Frappucchino+chocolate chips. All day. We modify that to scrambled eggs, DWSAH&H, celery, seltzer, the leftover from tea party blue cheese, airport food=Starbux sous vide egg white bites, decaf Americano. Supper will be the last bits of brown bread with butter. Eat what you want all the stressful day and hang the consequences. Good night and good morning all!

@charlie000 I get flavored seltzer. My store brand offers flavors of Dr Pepper, Coke, root beer. Not bad at all. I was never a soda drinker but love root beer and Dr Pepper

I had it flown in from Germany! I have a few more in the freezer.

I have been defrosting a leg of Herdwick lamb in the fridge for 2 days. It's going in the oven tomorrow. I am going to have a feast

Checking in.
Breakfast : usual 1 slice HiLo toast butter and tea. You have no idea how happy that one slice of 5g makes me in the morning.
Lunch: tomato, cucumber, 2 cocktail goats cheese peppers, celeriac remoulade.
Supper: ham, double egg and chips for the men. Spinach omlette for me.
Eye has been achy like a nagging toothache today, expect it was the anaesthetic wearing off, dont know. Took some codeine this morning.
@Chook you have very sophisticated dogs.
@ianpspurs hugs, really get what you are saying, we have our house on the market and are downsizing but we really made this house ours and I will miss the kitchen most. Dont tell OH. But its time in our lives to simplify things and help the boys if we can, we just need to get it right. This is going to be a tough year and it may take a lot longer before Mr PM can ease up on his crazy working life.
Before I go SOS ..made some good mackerel pate this morning which OH had for lunch do you think I can freeze the rest. Forgot he’s away for a few days. Its mackerel, cream cheese, lemon, herbs and chilli. TIA

I’ve made mackerel pate and frozen several little pots of it in the past. Same as chicken liver pate. It works well.
