What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

4.7 today. Although not brilliant sleep so my liver and pancreas could well have been playing tug of war with my blood for a couple of hours before I measured.

Such is life, it's a nice number, I'll take it.

4.3 for me
No Jellybabies mentioned so you get a winner. @DEBBIESCOTT great stuff - is Saturday a rest day or don't you do those? I have heard/read of active rest - 10k steps seems to be what that means. Attached is what Stabbo offered up back when I thought 3 nosebags per day was a good idea.

Morning All. Stuck in the 7s it seems. Yesterday 7.5 after FFF and today 7.0 after big bowl of Moules Mariniere with no accompaniments. Sub 20g carbs all day. What a sorry state. If this carries on I might take a break from testing FBG. Happy Saturday everyone.

I know nothing about bg management but I do know that is a brilliant idea knowing you somewhat.

Yes, Saturday is rest day, already walked 2.07 miles with a friend after housework & food shopping will definitely be over 10,000 steps

Back up again today lingering chesty cough must be a factor 9.5 .

Hi gang,
The power of rock & roll. Did a gig last night. Always fast prior. Pretty energetic. (Just can't eat.)
Dispite giving my basal 3 hours late, Had some spicey homemade pork soup my wife left for me to heat up when I got in at 1am.. I actually didn't even bolus for it? Cruised in the fives all night with a steady slope down happening around 8.30 Waking at 10am. 3.6mmol. (Yep, I felt that one.)

I do it all again at a different venue tonight..

6.4 today. Good enough as I feel a bit delicate with joint pain today. a rest day from exercise, and some reclining with feet up is the plan for much of the day.

@PenguinMum What are your numbers like through the rest of the day and after meals?
Tbh I don’t usually test while I stick to our usual meals which are “safely banked”. I wore a Libre up to a few days ago which as always gave me wildly fluctuating figures mostly incompatible with Mr Codefree. Just tested two hours after lunch (small plate ham salad) and am 7.2. This morning had my usual slice HiLo toast (5g) which is essential as if I don’t eat it just continues upwards then I had a busy distracted morning. think I am spending more time higher than I would like but I am just not prepared to go lower than 20g/day and I just CAN’T fast. Maybe I am too stressed about it all. Bet you’re sorry you asked..but thank you!

Thanks for the understanding Ian. Life is just not worth it to reduce my spartan meals any further and as you know I look forward to the treat that is FFF!

@PenguinMum, not at all sorry, on the contrary this is all intensely fascinating to me, and other people's experiences help me too. Eg I used to have the problem you mention of bgs rising unless I ate, but that seems to have gone away. What next?

Hi,

I tend not to pay no mind regarding "meerkat comparisons."
There are so many variables in the individuality of the... "Individuals."

"What next?" Who knows.. But right now. I'm under the impression you were never diagnosed in any form of diabetes.
Which I find facinating on a topic based round FBGs.

I'll post mine again tomorrow.

... Race yah.! :)
