Dinner - see photo - lamb loin, fairly lean so cooked with a spoon of added fat - organic coconut oil with ginger @Goonergal thought of you when ate it as it’s very lean, and for me perfectly cooked and still moist - but probably wouldn’t have hit the spot for you! Served with spoons of all my different salads and two sauerkrauts. Pudding one lc blondie warmed and served with hm yoghurts.
@RosemaryJackson your operation sounds quite a challenge take it steady while you recover ordering take out sounds sensible take care.
@maglil55 thinking of you and hoping you are on the road to recovery
@Tori71 keep meaning to ask what’s buttercup?
@annabell1 good to see you back here getting back to working out the best food for you to keep you healthy. Re the apple cider vinegar I’ve read quite a lot about it’s benefits and I’m adding to my salads mixed with olive oil - important bit though is buying a live one it can be called “with the mother “ which makes it look cloudy - avoid any commercial sterile pasteurised ones as they are not helpful.i sourced one locally using local organic apples and in a dark bottle to keep it live and beneficial.

Lunch was 3 cold chicken thighs (also from M&S) eaten on train on the way to a medical appointment.
Dinner - normal service resumed with air fried pork belly pieces - nice and fatty ones @shelley262 ! followed by Fage 0% and a few raspberries.

The brain does start to fail with age ;):);)

Oh you are so right. I've been struggling all afternoon to get my mobile phone working - it hasn't been used in ages and could have been de-registered. I have 2 and neither of them work for me. Neil got one of them going, much though he hates mobile phones, but the buttons are very small, the screen displays text in white on blue, which I can't see, especially as it is very small, and I can't hear messages - they are too faint and too quick. I need to put money into the one that is working, but can't remember how to do that and Neil doesn't know at all - he's never had a mobile phone. I'll try on the way to the airport tomorrow. Makes me feel quite incompetent. And OLD.

Around 10 am I had a bowl of vegetable soup - chicken stock and lots and lots of vegetables. Very tasty. Nothing since except when BG dropped too low, I had a cup of tea and then a cup of (believe it or not) Horlicks. Made with water, not milk. Still felt a bit squeamish after it though. Brought BG up into the 5's which is where it has stayed.

Breakfast: my usual low carb coconut ‘porridge’ with strawberries washed down with a black coffee.
Late morning: black coffee and a Carb Killa bar.
Skipped lunch.
Mid afternoon: black coffee and two DGF ketoreos.
Dinner: lamb burger with LC roll, lettuce and red pepper followed by SF raspberry jelly and cream.

Hi please can any one help are these safe to use with diabetes I’m in remission
Opticrom Hayfever Eye Drops, I’ve tryed to google it but nothing is coming up thanks

Two heard boiled eggs, two slices toast and vegimite for beakfast.
No smoko, just lemon cordial with a scoop and a half of osmolax.
No lunch as I did not feel like eating justa tub of lemon jelly trying to put the fire out in my gut.
Not a low carb dinner, mashed potato and pumpkin and chopped up raw onion mixed in, splash of gravy, needed something soft to eat and swallow.

Jayne, probably best to have a word with your pharmacist about it. If you're not planning on going to the shop, a call would work?

I can't imagine them being an issue, but our eyes are too precious to mess around.

Bed 4.8 FBG 4.6. I've been in the 4's all day. I ran the boys to school but Mum came too and walked them down. Eldest was on a senior school visit and, I'd been back about 45 mins when I got a call to say he was feeling sick. I'm only minutes from the school so picked him up, brought him back and both of us were ill together! In his case, he needed to eat and he felt a lot better afterwards. He was good though. Allowed me to have a quiet nap on the sofa.

B. Just water. I wanted to eat something but still couldn't face it.

L. Very late - 3 M&S crackers with egg.

D. A reasonable attempt at a roast chicken breast with a mini cob and I had 2 of the tiny bullet potatoes Hubby had cooked. Only took my BGs to 5 1

I made the mistake of going to collect the younger grandson on my own. Obviously, was not ready for it as I was in a cold sweat when I got back to the car. I've not been as nauseous today and the pain at my right side has gone. I must be improving as I can look at the food photos again without feeling nauseous.

Welcome back @annabell1

I'll be away for the next couple of days and potential food is a mystery. I am taking something for this evening's meal but can't get anything more into my luggage, so tomorrow I will be dependent upon whatever the hospital has to offer when I come out of the anaesthetic. I'll try to stay away from the carbs as much as possible. Should be awake in time for a late lunch.

Flying means not carrying a very big bag, which is why I am short of space for food. Can't even get my slippers in, so I'll be barefoot on the ward - probably get told off for that.
