What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

3 am 15.8. That's after 10.8 at bed time last night. Decided to take insulin along with some pain killers and some tea. Currently sitting at 4.9.

My gr grand daughter, like her elder brother when a small baby, seems to have a problem with me - crying and screaming as soon as they see me. This little one would start crying as soon as she came into the house. As a result I kept my distance. Her big brother got over it and is now pretty friendly and confident. As a step forward she was brought in to see me to collect her birthday tea and her birthday present. She still cooried in to her Shen (grandad) and wouldn't turn to look at me but as they left, she was encouraged to look my way and say thankyou (very quietly as she was carried out of the door). It's very odd. She'll get over it eventually though.
Funny lot, children, they exist in a world that we don’t fully understand. And that Spock bloke had a lot to answer for.

Good morning everyone from a wild and windy start here in the dark and dangerous north. Not a good weekend so far - cough, splutter, sweat, lethargic - and other words from dictionary corner. Couldn’t be bothered eating. Not much achieved at all. Still, staying in saves being dragged off to have a go at cabinet positions. Art bit - not much, but some. Have a super smashing Sunday. I am going to force a koffy.

Hugs for the not feeling so bright @dunelm
A long way down in the art bit...

Fbg 6.7

Spent too long trying to look through the trail cam videos.
Sat night/Sun morning vids were riveting, but I have loads earlier ones to post first...

And then YouTube played me up trying to upload this one...
3 foxes at once...

I really wouldn't like to be out in the garden with those three large foxes together...

On the plus side were 399 views of a short I made of Kissy Kissy searching for Midnight's scent :)

No time left to do a drawing.
So. Kaleidoscope...
I need a cuppa...
Have a good day...

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling too well. A quiet, calm and indulgent day is indicated.

Feeling of vertigo looking at the artwork. So effective already.

Good morning everyone from a bright blue skied but chilly Breckland which is not quite full enough of Eastern Promise to my eyes. Immunotherapy went smoothly yesterday. Saturday is much less crowded and staff seem much more relaxed plus I can while away the time watching sport. @dunelm hug for the effects of whatever it is that ails you. I really ike the art and hope the therapeutic effect allied to koffy help to make the situation as good as it can be. Was the back pain course more tiring than you thought? @Annb hug for the reaction of your great granddaughter and those yo yo blood glucose levels. That thank you was very much deserved for all that baking.@gennepher thank you for both the video and kaleidoscope. Very wise to stay safely indoors with three foxes and a badger roaming around. @Krystyna23040 enjoy Sheringhsm Park and here's a tune for you (sorry Genn, no words it isn't a song). Please remember the sausage roll and a treat for Archie, minister without portfolio. The plan here today is for lunch with MIL but as we've seen recently plans often need to be scrapped pronto. Is humble pie keto? Treat yourselves to the best Sunday you can but allow everyone else the same pleasure.

Short reply today, hugs where required, not sure about postings in the next few days, nothing serious, but juggling stuff.
Bloods this morning were 6.4, nothing special, nothing horrendous.
Take care all, stay safe and avoid governmental begging phone calls.

Thank you @ianpspurs
You have a good day.

Thanks @ianpspurs - today seems to be onwards and upwards but not going out apart from hanging out washing. Not sure if it was the back pain course as I had a fever but you never know. Back on the course tomorrow with a bit of luck.

Really good that the immunotherapy went well.
Thank you for the tune. We really enjoyed our walk at Sheringham Park. Maybe not quite as hilly as the Black Forest but it does get pretty hilly once you are off the main path. The sunlight filtering through the trees was almost magical.

Sadly they were out of sausage rolls so Mr K made do with a flapjack. Archie is enjoying his role as Minister without portfolio but was very sad that there were no sausage rolls as he always gets a little piece of one as a treat.

Good morning everyone on another early start here in the dark and dangerous north. Wood burner is still shoving out loads of heat although the little windmill on the top is slowing. Should last until mid morning. On Saturday it was still glowing mid afternoon. Glad that the immunotherapy went well @ianpspurs - missed that quite important bit. Tom Yum soup last night. No Galangal so used Ginger instead - best get some more of each. Week two of the back pain course begins today, what fun. Exercising in a swimming pool is harder than it looks.
Art bit - a bit more texture to the staircase of doom. Not achieving much at present but it’s coming along and it’s not a timed competition like Portrait or Landscape Artist Of The Year on Sky Art. Have a marvelous Monday if you can. I shall make koffy and then pack a bag.

Morning all.

Fbg all 7.+ Last few days.
And not doing today I think.
Reason below

A decent weekend here.

Adopted nieces car not working, and she was taking Lauren to her bff for Sunday dinner

(I had declined )

So as I volunteered to drive them over, seemed churlish not to stay for dinner..

Dinner delicious, patently not LCHF but life is for living, so ate it happily, but will row back a little more this week and exercise is on the up, so hopefully damage is limited .

The food was the reason + the company for others.

For me, the reverse

I seem to have been enforcing a little social distancing non covid related, that's been noted by a few, hence the respectful 'no thank you ' to the original invite,

And I'm told it needs addressing at some point
(Sure some will rue the day, the old gregarious me, is back ;) )

So the forced run over took away any real choice.

Have to say, it went well.
A little uncomfortable, but I'm sure that will ease over time.

Starting to feel more confident corners are being turned, if a little slowly.

Onwards & upwards.

Have a great day everyone .
