I forgot to post this TrailCam video a couple of weeks ago.
A busy night on the nighttime wildlife camera...
Cats & Foxes - A long night.
It was a very busy night...

Creative is a painting in ZenBrush3
I did the background last night, and finished off the trees this morning...

Time for a cuppa.

Have your best day.

FBG 10.9 at 4.15 am. Another restless night. Power was off for most of the pm. It was turned off according to the company's plan, at 2 pm but it was meant to come back on at 4 pm. That was put off to 6 and then 7. From 7 pm onwards power was on and off, and on and off - mostly off - for the rest of the evening. Last cut was a short one around 2 am. The evening's entertainment consisted of a series of recorded messages on the phone telling us about the revised time for restoring power. Other than that, it was a matter of practicing patience while we waited for a chance to make food or a hot drink.

At 7 pm DIL decided to go to town and buy a variety of things with chips so that we all had something warm inside ourselves - other than Neil, of course. He managed to put something together using a camping stove. Haven't had a fish supper in ages but this was a good excuse. I enjoyed it despite not really being able to see what I was eating. The lantern in the kitchen only gives a dim light.

I did think I would be able to use a small lantern I have in the bedroom. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it so had to use a small torch to creep around the house. Only managed to sleep for a couple of hours before my new pain made me get up again. And, of course, I couldn't put the leg rest up on my big chair because it is electric. If I had put the leg rest up, I might not be able to put it down again and so would be stuck in the chair. I'm always surprised when this kind of thing happens and I realise just how much we rely on power being available.

Power is on now, and has been on since I got up at 2.30 so - perhaps - it's all fixed now.

Love this creative. Great composition. Love the moon held in the arms of the tree.

Omg, what a palaver.

Did they explain what the delay was ?

I'd check there's not some sort of 'compensation' for such disruption extended or not ..mmhh.

Good you all enjoyed hot food despite the cuts, & a rare treat by the sounds of it..yum.

Hope the pain eases & you have a more pleasant day today .

Such a busy little garden, Genn.

Jade really starting to strut around and make that her home, too <heart>
She looks so comfortable on the camera.

Liking pic.

Oh dear. That is not good @Annb

I had one of those electric chairs, and I have an electric bed which is supposed to help me get in and out of it, but we had unexpected power cuts when I first moved here, and I didn't appreciate being sandwiched in the bed until power was restored again.

So I disconnected the electrics from both, once I escaped.

Be careful with the electrics on your chair...make sure you have an escape route, or your sticks, or some other stuff by your chair to enable you get out of it should the power go, trapping you xx

Their supposed to have a battery back up charged up supply to be able to get them to a position where one can escape if mains supply is removed. Obviously one can only use it once during a mains loss else the stack of Nicads goes flat and one is up the creek without a paddle!

Thank you very much @jjraak

I am glad Jade has made the swing hers.

They all look at the camera!
Good morning@gennepher. Thank you for sharing your night time videos. I look forward to viewing them daily. I have noticed that on some of them Jade keeps licking her lips when on the swing. Is that because she has just eaten or is there some other reason? Best wishes. :)

Relaxing with a coffee. Yesterday evening wasn't so tired so must have got over the shock of starting back to work.

Actually it was quite nice and sunny on the dog walk today but the park is getting quite muddy after all the rain. Good that there are plenty of puddles on the way back from the walk to wash my boots in.

Neither bed nor chair had a battery back up. This was 20 years ago, they didn't then @lindisfel
Maybe they do now?

Thank you for watching
Yes, she does lick her lips on the swing. Often she has just eaten. But I haven't noticed her licking her lips particularly when she is walking around.
Maybe nervousness sitting on the swing?
But she doesn't let me handle her yet @dogslife
She still keeps her distance from me.
There are plenty of buckets of water scattered about the place.

Unfortunately, mine doesn't have a backup.

Morning everyone from a sunny but still decidedly particular little settlement in the Exotic East. Epiphany for some, Christmas Eve for others. To any Orthodox Christians here, enjoy Christmas as far as possible. To the rest of you/us I read this daily:Endue thy ministers with righteousness. And make thy chosen people joyful. I either need far better vision or bury my head in the sand. This mess isn't the bottom yet: at what point will the riots start? No. I'm not advocating them just wondering how bad things must become: the dog that didn't bark. Enter stage right someone offering himself as the means for “lengthening our lead as the best place on Earth” :arghh: :arghh: Thanks for the offer but have a rest fella. You've done quite enough. @gennepher thanks for another colourful and hopeful creative. @dogslife good to see you here and I would never have thought of the tree cradling the moon, thanks. @Annb hug for the problems and pain made much worse by the power cut/outage. Good of DIL to provide hot food and very resourceful of Neil. I hope you can re-hydrate and sleep during the day. Nan London is home but groggy so sitting in her bedroom listening to the radio. She had cards and presents last evening and the great grandchildren here cheered her. Last poem and art from that Anthology today. I hope these haven't annoyed people too much. They don't make LC any more pleasant nor do anything about cancer - this might - but what Lewis had to say, via Aslan in the attached, and those poems give strong clues - Inklings - to "the big mystery" for me. . longer version if interested @Annb and @lindisfel and anyone else obviously. RIP Gianluca Vialli. Billy Joel (don't mention the Brexit Bonuses ) for you.

We bought my m.i.l. a reclining chair for the disabled over ten years ago, she used it for a number of years and died c.10 years ago. They all had back up then, else they would be no good for the elderly and infirm.
I used to maintain the electrical back up system for her when we went down to Lincoln.
Her cleaner was a menace, she would pull the plug out to plug the vacuum cleaner in. :)
