It ultimately it is not white coat syndrome, though it could add to the problem due ignorance.
I have an adenoma producing 20x the normal amount of aldosterone from my right adrenal so the body retains sodium and pees out potassium.

It damaged the heart as a consequence and causes diabetes type 2, so now after over 20 years of not knowing I now also have essential hypertension for my last years 20years+
When young, with some, removing the offending adrenal can return BP to normal.

Nurses at the local hospital have said you have Crohn's disease, because they get it wrong through ignorance and not reading notes properly.

The only intervention is a very reduced salt diet, and a receptor blocker like Eplerenone that cost too much for the clown shoes too fully fund.
I have lived longer than most with Conn's, thank God in his mercy.

Conn's is named after the American doctor that described it.

Derek, as a Spurs fan I know better than most it is the hope that kills. Worse yet, our eldest is scientifically minded and went to Uni in Wales. Can't be helped as he was born in Fortneath, innit. Middle son is a cricketer, born in Cambs. Youngest is a golfer. Both those two were decent footballers. All three like peas in a pod looks, height and build wise 6' 4"+ brick privvies but not rugger guys. We did take then to local club and they played a few games. Two of them were decent wingers.

Blood sugars this morning were a 4.8, not saying anymore about that today.

The saga of the outdoor flashing solar lights has been resolved Mrs J relocated them before I did. Well today is national bin day.

The house is very quiet at the moment, just sound of a ticking clock and the occasional slurp of koffy, ahh sheer bliss. Don’t panic I have already done 30 minutes plinky plonky.
Soon we should be meeting up with some friends for a stroll around a park, which also acts as a flood plain then going for lunch where we are rather well known and occasionally cause merriment. The conversations between the staff and us sometimes shock other customers of a woke disposition, with phrases along the lines of “ not if I have to take my socks off “ , we think we are quick with the wit, but the staff always get the better of us, long may it continue.

This afternoon a new idiot box is being delivered, Mrs J will set it up, she said yesterday, I dread the thought of another remote control, as long as I can turn it off I shall be content.

Now it is time prod the sleeping dragon, placating her with tea. Breakfast for me could be a toasted hot cross bun and not worry about the carbs.

Thanks all for your good wishes. I am actually feeling marginally better today - not so shaky or sore. Just the pain in my legs stopping me getting around. I have, though, taken extra pain killers, so maybe that's why I'm feeling better.

BG was 10.0 at 4.30 this morning but dropped to 7.4 by 8.30. Pulse is much more like normal but there is still hissing in my ears. Not to worry - it'll fix itself.

Well, I promised myself a wee little trip out this morning and a little breakfast in a garden centre.

I haven't been since Covid lockdowns.
They've changed the layout, and the food comes out of the kitchen at the back instead of being on display. This came out, and I was not impressed. Also a pot of tea but the tea was luke warm. I can have luke warm tea at home for nothing. I thought of going back to the counter with everything, but then I can't be bothered, I just won't be coming back here, so it's not worth it..

I promised myself a wee little trip to a garden centre every week, for the next few weeks, and hopefully among them I might find one or two that would be worth going to.

Then, I passed a farm feed stores on the way home. I was looking for some breeders dry cat biscuits. I used them many years ago and they were a lot cheaper than these expensive fancy dry cat biscuit things in the local shops.

Someone lugged a massive bag to the car for me.
Not a hope of me getting it in the bungalow. Then a young postman walked past, the same one who got charged at by black panther Midnight through the cat flap, the other week...

I thanked him....

I wonder what the cats will think of this change in cat food?
I am sure the fox or badger won't care...would they?

I was aiming for 14K steps but my sister had been doing admin yesterday afternoon and when she finished I decided to walk part of the way back to her house in our local market town.

I ended up walking the whole way back to her house. I must admit that I was tired when I got back home. Legs still tired today. 18K steps was just too many steps.

but it is all 20mph on most main roads in London, and others are average speed checked so only a few bad boys drive fast .

Throw in cameras everywhere watching us, you can see why councils love us motorists so much.

Many likely to collapse if we all stopped driving...

This has been going on for years in LIverpool. More than half a century. Not the fines, but bollards and planters restricting where you could go, making all these little or large 'pockets' of houses with only one way in and one way out. It caused congestion and queues to get into the main arterial roads. This started in the 1970's. And I remember thinking then that this severely restricts the emergency services.

I had this desire then to do something to those planters...
