I want that!
But what is lea&Perrins and S&P?

First meal was fish fried in a surprisingly thin batter, for which I dosed a random and rather large amount of insulin, which actually did the job.
Evening meal was a reheated half of fish (they gave us 3 instead of 2), and a piece of duch smoked sausage.
Had a piece of cheese and some nuts later, will have chicory and hummus before bed shortly

Sorry Antje. S&P is just salt and pepper. Lea and Perrins is Worcestershire sauce, it’s a great umami flavour. Not sure if you can get it outside the uk though.
The recipe is what we used to make at the cafe I worked at as a Saturday girl in the 70s. It was really popular. I had to text a couple of old friends to try and remember the ingredients between us. Comfort food at its best!

Edit to add
Whoops! Just seen @IanBish has already replied - I should have read ahead first!

Today I had boiled eggs and l/c toast for a late breakfast.
Late lunch out - a treat from our daughter at a local gastropub.
Starter was a strange but wonderful thing called ‘mother’ which I can only describe as a sort of solid block of celeriac remoulade. It was really nice anyway. Main was hot smoked local beef and a pile of buttery kale. I turned down the enormous Yorkshire pud and super crispy roast spuds with a heavy heart! Cheeseboard afterwards - most of which I brought home with me, if was a huge portion.

I just thought I knew the answer!

With hindsight I shouldn't have had so much parsnip mash. I don't have it that often (only at Christmas generally) so I was just using up the parsnips I had left. But the CGM seems to have approved.

My local and rural supermarket sells Worcester sauce, albeit a different brand, so your wonderfully short recipe is now in my CMT. :)

I'm having a visitor for a while, so proper cooking has been done!
Slow cooked beef with onions and spices, served on leftover sauerkraut mash, very tasty.

Lucky me, his turn to cook tomorrow!

Second day of the slow cooked beef today, no fussing with veggies this time apart from the onions cooked with the beef.
Lots of gravy or sauce or whatever you call it what slow cooked beef is cooked in left. Visitor won't use it so it'll go into the freezer tomorrow for later use. :)
