Libre sensor playing up each time it's changed

The last 2 times my mum has changed her sensor, it comes up with alarms unavailable shortly after. Last time it was a case of turning off and on Bluetooth. She has a Samsung a40 or 41?? It's not got the latest update, as she was worried it wouldn't work with the sensor. Could that be part of...

Posting on behalf of my mum, who is type 1. She's had some stomach issues lately, and has found going gluten free has helped a bit. She always used to have weetabix in the mornings...that suited her blood sugars. Now she doesn't know what to have. She's tried all sorts of cereal...cornflakes...

    Libre 2 alarm not working

My mum changed her sensor on Friday, and since then, the low and high glucose alarms haven't worked. She gets a message saying low glucose alarm on the front of her phone, but it doesn't make a sound. The notification volume is up and she's not had a problem before. Any ideas why this is happening?

Trying to figure out my blood sugar insulin response

This morning I had 2 weetabix and 19 grams of all bran sprinkled on top. My blood sugar before this was 5.5. 15 minutes after I finished eating, it went up to 7.4. 45 mins after eating it went to 8. An hour and a half later it came back down to 7.2. Now, I didn't think that was a big...

Freestyle libre 2 alarms not working

My mum put a new sensor on last night, and went hypo today...she then noticed her sensor alarms weren't working, even though they're turned on. It says at the top that alarms only work when a new sensor is started. Has she done something wrong when starting this new one? How can we fix it?

    Water weight

So, my diet isn't great...as I struggle to think of foods I would actually like to eat that are low Carb/GI or low calorie. I try my best in the week, but at the weekends I tend to eat white bread, tinned tomato soup and a bit of cake. I always gain a couple of pounds on the Monday. This week...

    Freestyle libre alarms not working

My mum is using her first sensor (nhs funded) after doing the bianca course. She used one she bought in the summer, with no problems whatsoever. Chia seeds...what's the deal?

I've never tried them but have seen they are good for a low Carb diet. Before I buy some....what do they taste like? Do you need to soak them first? Do they lower the overall Carb count of a meal? Thanks

I had my usual for lunch yesterday...2 slices of seeded bread with cheese and a protein bar. I felt sleepy straight afterwards. Done my blood sugar 2 hours later and it was 6.3. I don't usually feel sleepy when I have this meal, so just wondered if it would've shot my sugar levels up too...
