First 7 Day Fast COMPLETED!!

Completion of Day 7 results: couple of hours to go, but gong out tonight so reporting early:)

BG 4.8

Ketones: 0.9

BP: 112/76

Fat Mass: 15.7%

Weight: 11st 0lbs (70kg)

BPM 59

BMI 21.1

So there we go folks, my first 7 day fast, it all felt fine, no change to routine of exercise or general life and definitely became quiet easy from day 5 onwards.

Next results will be from my second 3 months lipid panel and A1C on 14 July with results through to me about a week later, until then pressing on and getting ready for my usual 4 day fast in August (1 x 4 day per month, 1 x 7 day per quarter)

Looking good Mr P well done indeed and thanks for being so up front with all the info..much appreciated. You have inspired me to find a hole in the diary so I can try one too.

Well done! You are doing amazing! Losing so much weight must make you feel like a new man. Truly an inspiration!

Do you want to lose any more weight or are you now done?

Wonder what the NHS dinosaurs would say about your success vs their healthy plate diet....another LCHF success story xxxx

Borderline T2, serial yo-yo dieter but firmly sticking to LCHF with IF

Done Deb, although I'm now turning my mind to weight stabilisation and am aware, I might lose a few more whilst I figure out the fat/protein combination over the next 3 months. But I'm sure I'll get there:)

If I can do it as a big fat Yorkshireman....anybody can... seriously:)

Well done @KevinPotts - fabulous results!

One thing though - there's a MASSIVE thing missing from today's picture - your big beaming smile! Let's see another pic with a smile!

Enjoy that rib-eye!

Congratulations Kevin.
Its always beautiful seeing the results of hard work.
Nothing is worth having unless you've had to earn it?

Would you do it again, IF you had too? lol sorry couldnt resist!

Was it really really hard?

Thanks for the encouragement.

In short yes, I'm going to do it once a quarter and a 4 day fast once a month. Daily I only eat two main meals, lunch and dinner, so fasting 17-18 hours each day.

It really should help develop better insulin sensitivity over time and I didn't really find it that hard.

Honestly:)?

Congratulations - I'm more than impressed with your results!

I think it's probably the only time we could ever say "You're just half the man you used to be" and mean it as as sincere compliment! :p

Ha found the timeline! Well done Kevin. Brilliant results and you have been very inspirational for me over the last few weeks. Thanks for sharing all your info and answering questions you have really helped me. I still have a long way to go 4 stone to be exact. But I am feeling hopeful I can do this.
All the best,
Debbie

You can do it, if I can do it as a committed "foodie":)

Well done from me, mate, having experience the prolonged fasting myself, I do believe you about it being easier and achievable without problems, as such.
I would take the advice of starting with relatively smallish meals and ease back into eating and drinking again!
If you have lost your appetite, don't force food into you.
You would be surprised how little we actually need to be fit and healthy!

Hope your hba1c is good mate, it should be!
Enjoy your steak!

Thanks @nosher8355, I should have listened... I ate my Rib Eye last night and felt terrible all night...serves me right. Ok today and only eating small bits... Much better:)

Plugged in my next 4 day towards end of August and then 7 day in November.

Had my best resting heart beat today, repeatedly measured at 53-54 BPM:)
