Sugar, in all it's iterations.
If you've taken a tumble outdoors, there's bound to be some inflammation @oldnevada.
Thankfully, you escaped with bruises and have managed to turn in decent FBG readings following your fall.
Thanks LL,
Much less sore yesterday. Was able to run a 4km, took a km to get used to the rib cage on RHS cause it was sore-ish. That pain was attenuating. I've been icing with a soft ice pack...... brrrrrrr that's cold!! I guess that brought down a lot of the inflammation. Quad is a little off, but no pain while I was running, but it kept my pace 15% lower cause I didn't want that to trip me up. Again, iced my quads as well. Thank-you!

7.2 this morning ( whole bar of chocolate last night )
Have you tried Montezuma's Absolute Black 100% cocoa chocolate bars? @mojo37, with no added sugar, no gluten, soya free and made without dairy ingredients.
Perfect if you follow a keto or low carb lifestyle, also for those with food intolerances, I imagine.

It's made in Sussex and available from Sainsbury's and Waitrose supermarkets.
Perhaps it's an acquired taste, but quickly grew on me. Once I'd tried it, nothing else would do. It's rich and intense, so a little goes a long way.

At weekends, I often round off lunch with a couple of squares. I have not put evening snacking to the test though!

This thread is entitled ‘very low chat level’, but for some time now more and more chat has appeared, can we please get back to posting your fasting blood sugar, with maybe a small comment such as for example ‘I’m happy with that’ or ‘I blame the chips!’ From now on posts will be deleted without warning that don’t follow this format.
For those of you that like to chat, try one of these threads:

Edit to add the second link to another slightly less chatty thread, suggested by @mojo37 thank you.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

This is a thread for those chatterboxes who not only enjoy letting us know their daily fasting level but also like to engage in friendly banter above and beyond the simple 'hello'. I am not known for my banter but I do enjoy hearing from the regulars about how their day is going, feeds my soul...
