I thought I'd avoided those tasty treats this year as we had intended to have a very healthy Xmas with lots of salads and vegan "meats". Then, last minute, our son said he would be visiting. Suddenly the house is ramned with cheeses, sausage rolls, mushroom plait, mince pies and stollen.Today I weigh 77.9 kg, a loss this week of .7kg. 20.6kg, or 41 family Christmas puddings... Next week I expect to have put weight on, only from volume of food, not all bad choices. However... it's a minefield. Good luck to those of us celebrating this season, it's tough when those around us are partaking of such tasty treats and we're on the side lines. Keep strong, we're in this together. Merry Christmas, see you on the other side!.
Just done a rough carb/calorie check for the 25th, even if I don't "over" indulge the numbers are horrendous compared to my normal day. I know it's only 24 hours, but honestly, even the sensible options will lead to a stall in my downward trend. But I'm gonna work hard at avoiding the sweetstuff, and stick to veggies... and, like you, work on the Bee Gees philosophy... Staying alive!"I thought I'd avoided those tasty treats this year as we had intended to have a very healthy Xmas with lots of salads and vegan "meats". I'm not complacent, but neither am I worried. I 'could' have it, but whether I 'should' have it is another matter. So I'll stick to my own yummy bits and leave the cakes and pastry to my son. If I'm honest, I always used to overindulge so I'm seeing it as I'd rather be seen as a party pooper and alive than a dead ex-glutton.
Yay, that is great, Filly, well done!Better week. 216.5 down 7ozs
That is great, Ellie, every gram counts and they all add up!72.2kg, so down 200g....
Oooh, I daren't look at what mine will be, but like you, I will be avoiding the unnecessary sweet stuff and concentrating on enjoying the healthy stuff, but with a little extra indulgence. I don't mind if my weight stalls for a week, just so long as it doesn't go up. Good luck and above all, have a great day!Just done a rough carb/calorie check for the 25th, even if I don't "over" indulge the numbers are horrendous compared to my normal day. Oh crikey, just goes to show how easy it goes on with fast food even if we try to keep it healthy, it is all heavily process. I am sure that it hasn't properly settled into fat cells yet, so you will be able to knock that kilo off once normal eating resumes! Happy Christmas!Oh dear! I was away yesterday so decided to weigh in this morning on my return. 4 days of eating fast food albeit the healthiest I could find on the menus my daughter selected has taken its toll. She hates cooking and wouldn’t let me do so - treated me! Every day.
So … 1.1kg on. I have some work to do now to get that back off and some more as well. Ah well, the trip to see my girls and grandkids was worth it.
Thank you @LeafyArts. Hopefully it will be.@IanBish Only a pound, that isn't too bad, hopefully that will be gone by next week.
I am amazed to see a 1lb loss on the scales this morning, despite a little indulgence on Christmas Day and Boxing Day (and I enjoyed every mouthful).
Have a great Hogmanay everyone - we are heading into a great and healthy 2024!
