Last day before I start trialling OMAD so I treat myself a bit!
Breakfast: CWC (Coffee With Cream, may as well make it a shorthand now)
Lunch: Bacon and two eggs fried in olive oil with a tomato
Dinner: Steak and chicken char-grilled kebab with salad and garlic butter
My goodness was that dinner delicious.
Only logic for the whey protein isolate is that it is lower in carbs than whey protein but, as you say, you can get it without additions. It crisps nicely though.Breakfast - Tea and 29 gms almonds - yes almonds (how the heck do you get 100% rda magnesium?)
Lunch: Tempura avocado and mushrooms thanks @maglil55 for Tempura idea - heck of lot of whey in there and bains here used the powder we had- slightly sweet taste in there but went nice and crisp. As a bonus made a pancake which was totes spiffing so a win there. Isolate ordered with 35% off from Bulk Powders - no flavour or additives as some has stevia
Evening meal - Brisket ( big mistake buying it from Morrisons but nice stock let over) few mushrooms and broccoli supermarket and h/g purple ( the purple was cut, cooked and eaten within 25 mins)
Tales of the unexpected: 3 days fasting this week reduced weight by .8 pound - lost much more last summer ( went down to BMI of 21.6); woke up 1-1.5 hrs earlier but went back to sleep - woke much, much earlier last summer; until this morning resting pulse hadn't risen - huge spikes last summer. See what happens when I repeat in June, Sept and Dec
Cronometer says 60 gms total carbs and 32 minus alcohol sugar net carbs

Yes - I like it pickled.Yes I thought so - I thought it was you but I’ve peeped at your CMT recipes and it obviously wasn’t there.
Probably going to keep it to dinner time, usually too busy for lunch with the website admin at work so just going to skip it from now on and probably use the time to take a walk around the city. Thank you for the well wishes there too!Hope the omad goes well. What time are you going to have it?
Your dinner does sound good.
I cooked the red cabbage (under the brisket) but decided to use it for compost 7 hrs was way too much for it but it added flavour to the stock. Very pleased with purple sprouting as I lost my planting diagram and forgot what it was. Did spend a longtime on New Year's eve removing dead leaves and pruning. Re weight - bit of a porker actually.Home grown purple sprouting is food of the gods in my book, wonderful.
What about the red cabbage under the brisket? Did you decide against it in the end?
Last point, maybe you didn’t lose much weight as you are lean enough?
Yes - I like it pickled.
We had 2 of the big old sweet jars. 1 was for red cabbage and 1 was for pickled onions. Both amazing with all the cold meat - musical Christmases of the past ehMe too. It reminds me of lovely family Christmases when I was young - mum bought a jar of pickled red cabbage every year.
I love pickled cabbage and onions. I have some Lancashire roots (on my mum's side) and I have happy childhood memories of steaming lamb hot pot with pickled cabbage. We had 2 of the big old sweet jars. 1 was for red cabbage and 1 was for pickled onions. Hi all.
Another carnivorous OMAD day.
Dinner was slow cooked ox cheek. Thanks for all the tips, it turned out perfect - delicious and really melting in the mouth. Some left (not much) for another day and glad I bought 2 cheeks too. Subsequently had 40g extra thick Jersey cream. Really HTS after a long day sorting out stuff - getting rid of stuff before the decorators come in a couple of weeks. @DJC3 I’m also busy posting on eBay and freecycle. Also did a record-breaking trip to Ikea. In and out in 40 minutes. The walk to and from in the sun was enjoyable too.
@BibaBee do you think the Nutella could be made using pre-bought hazelnut butter (Meridian do a crunchy version) and mixing with chocolate?
