@Goonergal hows your mystery virus going? Hope it’s improving?
@DJC3 well done you re volunteering to help out the vulnerable wish you were near my mum! All mums neighbours are elderly and in worse health than she is. At 89 with asthma she goes every morning to get her paper and in addition for two of her younger but less fit neighbours and she feels that this should continue but I’m concerned. We are going up on Saturday so will have a chat - or as mum sees it we will be giving her a lecture! She goes to a working men’s club every weekend and when I suggested she cut back for a bit she said but she knew everyone and they only went to Benidorm not Italian ski resorts! We’ve got a way to go!
Well looks like that it's good that cruise was cancelled yesterday as according to Bojo’s advice mum shouldn’t be going on cruise so we are ahead of the game! Mums travel insurance policy said yesterday that they wouldn’t refund the policy but going to ring again tomorrow and ask again re govt advice which is that elderly shouldn’t be going on cruises .......
I definitely am reacting foodwise to current stress - albeit staying low carb I’m eating more quantity wise!
Breakfast scrambled egg and half a toasted chaffle
Lunch cheese and LC seeded crackers
Mid pm - stress/virus eating! Three squares of 95% chocolate and an online order put in to hotel chocolate!! Clearly getting to me. Determined to up my chocolate stocks!
Dinner lamb chops, stuffed mushrooms, halloumi chips salad and glass of red wine followed by lc dd chocolate raspberry brownie with cream and coffee.

Breakfast nut granola. CWC.
Lunch pastrami, salad coleslaw and one small piece of baguette with butter.
Dinner, pasta carefully counted 20 wholemeal penne. Served with bacon, mushroom and blue ch
Cheese sauce. Forgot to add mozzarella so sauce was a bit runny. Who am I kidding? It was like soup, but tasty. Far too much chocolate in the evening
Bedtime tea.
Bed 6.6 FBG 5.6. A slightly better night but I still wake on and off with this cough. A thought, does that mean I should self isolate or not? It's not a new cough, I don't have a fever and I've been Ill for almost 5 days. I'm still up and down. One minute I feel so so and the next the congestion sets in again. Steam and Vic will continue. I just wish I had some energy. Everything is an effort.

L. A cheese triangle
D. What @DJC3 had earlier this week. The salmon fillet with green beans but I put 1/2 a sliced avocado through the beans. Also had 5 santini tomatoes, 1/2 mozzarella and a few walnuts. I also had a square of G&B mint.
Loads of water. I cancelled my Aqua today as well - no way I could have dealt with it plus I think they would have wanted a 2 meter exclusion zone around me.
Hi all
Eating still a bit off but closer to normality today.
Pack of salted almonds early on for brekkie. Lunch was 2 eggs fried with a small tin of corned beef and some grated cheddar on top. Dinner was air fried ribeye steak - perfect timing advice @Brunneria - delicious. Stayed very juicy. One of these - a first try and will be buying again: https://www.lidl.co.uk/en/p/deluxe/deluxe-dry-aged-hereford-rib-eye-steak/p15410 Wasn’t quite large enough though, so just polished off some air fried bacon wrapped halloumi fries.
need to get me some of that Hereford dry aged steak! Looks delish!
Thanks for the hugs @ianpspurs. I think I'm on the mend although I didn't want to tell Hubby my throat is niggling again. He's still reeling from all the football being cancelled. I'm still surviving on Vic's vapour rub and hot showers. I did smile at the school pick up. I've had almost 5 years of that. It must be the same the world over. The only time we get peace from the abandonment of the Chelsea Tractors is when the traffic warden pays an early morning visit. They dump them everywhere. I pretty much have the timing right now but I have the boys well trained with a number of loudly spoken sentences - "Nana, I thought parking on the pavement on a corner was illegal. Should I tell the warden over there?" "Look at that person on double yellow and they're not disabled" "Isn't that person REALLY selfish leaving their car so the children can't see to cross". The little one is particularly good. Sure he swallowed a dictionary at age 1.Had a cunning plan but went to whatsit in a handcart. Breakfast: Both Sweetened and not, AMT; L: Costa Americano with cream: Afternoon: Chocologic Belgian dark and bag Mr Porky ; Eve: Cheese and potato pie (swede + celeriac topping), and broccoli - I needed stodge. Plan went awry. Mrs builder had pregnancy issues so all walls and doors intact. No lunch and mince for cottage pie not defrosted. Probably need to sleep in car the day before to ensure a space for school pickup. Eclectic mix of yummy mummies and mouldy old wrinklies abandoning 4 x 4s earlier and earlier.
