Hi all,

Last night's cheat meal was great fun but after what felt like a sleepless night spent digesting it all I'm looking forward to getting back to LCHF. Never thought I'd say that... One of the guests bought milk chocolates, which I'm trying to convince husband to take to work with him to share with colleagues (I work from home).

Reflecting on this evening's meal. Possibly grated carrot with grilled sesame seeds and some kind of spicy chicken and coconut milk concoction. There are leftovers from last night but I'm not interested. Victory! Into the freezer they'll go for future treats.

Hope you're having a great weekend!

Chook I dont want to worry you but Id look up those sweetners in your coffee syrups and decide if you still want to drink them.

Don't wish to rain on your parade, but a "pile of vegetables" will amount to far more than just a couple of grams of Carbohydrate.

Better to over estimate, than to try and kid yourself you are eating zero carbs.

Weight loss this week: 5lbs

Well, the Blood Sugar Diet seems to be working!

Today:
Breakfast: Lidl Turkish yoghurt with a teaspoon of hazelnut sugar free syrup
Lunch: Bacon and egg
Dinner: Chicken and veg stew (variation on a Hairy Bikers recipe) it's got chicken thighs, smoked bacon, carrots, leeks, celeriac, onions and white wine in it. Served with kale.

It's getting hard to find a menu that fits in with my low carb Blood Sugar Diet AND husband's new Paleo diet.

I follow Bernstein in reckoning both 2/3 cup of cooked veg and a plate of green salad, including dressing, as 6grams of carb each. I find that practical. It's much quicker than working each ingredient out.
